Each competitor donates £50 to the TLB charity prize pool (total profit for MTT's on Sharkscope). The pay outs for the Primary Tournament Leader Board competition will be split between the top 4 charities:
First: 40% Second: 30% Third: 20% Fourth: 10%.
In addition to the £50 per competitor, money sponsored that is pledged for the prize pool will go into this prize pool only (ie. not the "Tournament Wins" prize pool.) Also any other monies raised, will also be allocated to this prize pool unless specified otherwise. £320 will be taken out of the TLB prize pool to be allocated to the "Heads Up" prize pool.
The winner of the Tournament Leader Board challenge (most profit made from scheduled tournaments in 2016, according to Sharkscope) will receive a "gold" cup. The name of this cup will be "The Tim Carter TLB Poker Cup"
Moving on to the Secondary competition.
This is a "Tournament Wins" competition, and points are awarded to players who win a major tournament. The points allocation is as follows:
Main Event Win: 10pts Mini Event Win: 7pts £110 BH Win: 2pts (Jan only) 9PM £22BH Win: 2pts (Jan only) 9PM £55 Sherriff: 2pts (Currently not running in January) £55 QuickDraw Win: 1pt UKOPS: To follow
In the event of a tie on points, the person who won the most Main Events will win, if this is tied then it goes to the person who has won the most Mini's then the person who won the most 9pm £55 BH's.
If everything is tied then the prize money is split equally.
For each main event won, the competitor donates £20, and for the other's, £10.
50% goes to the player's charity and 50% goes into a prize pool specifically for this competition.
This prize pool will be split between the charities of the top 4 point scorers, as follows: (same split as TLB)
First: 40% Second: 30% Third: 20% Fourth: 10%.
The winner of this "side" competition will receive a shield. The name of this shield will be "The Poker Tournament Wins Charity Shield". Also if you don't play enough to be involved in the leader board, why not sponsor one of us for an amount of your choice. There are a number of ways you can sponsor us. It can go to a specific charity or be added to the prize pool fund for the winning charities, the choice is yours.
In the summer of 2017, there will be a "Heads Up" tournament that Sponsors as well as Competitors can enter. Players will play for a "silver" cup. The name of this Cup will be "The Tim Carter "Sponsors and Competitors" Heads Up Poker Cup. £320.00 of the TLB prize pool will be allocated to the heads up comp. With the charity of the winner receiving £200 and £120 for the runner up's charity.
There will also be a fully engraved trophy and replica for the lady that lasts longest in the heads up comp. If the last two women go out at the same stage, then they will play each other heads up (first to 4), to decide who wins the trophy.
We may also have a Ryder Cup in September, and possibly one again around Xmas/New Year.
Thanks again to all those who supported this is 2016 and best of luck at the tables in 2017!
Would it be possible to start this off with the eleven competitors that we have so far, with view to hopefully adding more players between now and the end of January?
Points are similar to last year, details below:
Main Event Win: 10pts Mini Win: 7pts £110 BH Win: 2pts (Jan only) 9PM £22BH Win: 2pts (Jan only) 9PM £55 Sherriff: 2pts (Currently not running in January) £55 QuickDraw Win: 1pt
One difference, following on from SoLacks suggestion, players who win a Main Event will donate £20, all other wins, will be £10 as before, with half of their £10 or £20 donation going to their own charity.
Hi Aussie , I am assuming you will just record any £110 BH wins as if they are 9pm wins, as they carry the same points. BTW, FeelGroggy has now decided upon his charity. It is a charity called: GIVE DIRECTLY Also there is a slight error with my charity on your website. My charity is, TRINITY HOSPICE, LONDON not TRINITY HOSPITAL TRUST which is something different. We are still awaiting jordz16's chosen charity Many thanks again for your help. Cheers, G Posted by StayOrGo
yes, £110 will show under the 9pm total for 2 points.
Well we have first site of the 2017 TLB leader board on Sharkscope.
Apart from the player at the top, who's a bit suspect, there's some great players there already.
I must have got inspired by playing for Rose's charity. :=)
I was wondering if the likes of Sir-Gary, johnny_e, albania, ryan1976, MrDirk, SCessex, BJS214, EssexPhil, henners10, NooGooood, ronny707 would like to join us as competitors?
I want to post some pictures of the TLB2017 trophies on here.
However, the ones I have taken on my phone are too big. (1.2 MB)
700KB is the max. Does anyone know how to either reduce the file size, or change settings on my phone so that they use less pixels and hopefully less disk space.
Comments
Some outstanding play by Jordz has seen him take a massive lead in both competitions. VWP sir!
