Announcement Groupies.

I find it amusing, as there seems to be a group of players that compete in a race to every new announcement on the forum, to try to get their approval posted first. It doesnt seem to make any difference as to how trivial the announcement is, they want to be first and they will approve wholeheartedly. They will never disagree with anything.
Its Thursday today, Wow thankyou Sky, I love you Sky you never let me down.
"Any player not getting 2,000 points next month will have their left leg amputated." Wow thank you Sky, we dont need two legs to play poker. Ive always wanted to walk with a limp. I will never have to buy a pair of shoes again. I will be able to nick the one I will need from outside the shoe shops.
On a more realistic example Sky couldnt have come up with more ridiculous starting times for the SPT if they had tried. Yet there they are. Wow thankyou Sky, we love you, its a great idea to start playing in the middle of the night, I wont get tired and fall asleep. Well done Sky. I will be getting to Manchester the night before, but I dont mind hanging about all day, I will go to the Zoo. I love Zoos.
When Tikay announced that there was going to be a Viva Last Vegas, without publishing the details of the ridiculous points qualification requirements, there they were Wow  We love you etc. etc.in massive print, and +1s evertwhere. Yet when the targets came out they couldnt qualify.
This obsequiosness doesnt accomplish anything other than giving the suits the wrong impression.
Sometimes improvement can be gained through debate. The only thing that can be gained through praising the ridiculous is more ridiculousness.
I think that the suits from Sky just dont seem to get involved in some threads where their input would be of value, and appreciated.
When Tikay posted in January that there was to be a long overdue overhaul of the mtt programme, I was a little bit excited. I am not sure what I was expecting, but a change is as good as a rest. There was no substantial change to any of the tournaments I play which was disappointing.
To finish off I would like to say a couple of things regarding the SPT starting times.
Firstly, on tbhis occasion Sky have at least not attempted to defend the indefencible, and are changing the starting times.
Secondly, this was done by listening to the more sensible players, rather than the groupies.

The casino chose the start times not us. We all agree an earlier start/finish would be better so have pushed for this. The tournament schedule was only revamped last October so I doubt Tikay promised an overhaul in January.

Changing the starting times is good, and I am sure will be appreciated by most of the players, as the original ones were not very good.
He definitely did and we had a completely different schedule in January, with the new schedule kicking in in February. I thought my memory was bad.
Didnt we have a £110 bounty hunter every night?

    Morning all.

As most of you know by now, Sky Poker are revamping the MTT Schedule. It's well overdue, & has to be done, & once it is all sorted, the MTT schedule here will be better, more logically arranged & timed, & better presented.

So if you have ANY questions, observations as & when changes happen, or, Heaven forbid, complaints, please post them on this thread. The Suits WILL read this thread daily, & if anything major arises during the changes, & you guys let us know, I'll send it straight upstairs.

Doing it this way will be far more efficient for both sides of the table, & help us all - players & business alike - get through the MTT Revamp more comfortably, & I'll happily explain why any particular MTT has been moved, changed, re-packaged or dropped.

It's a 2 way process - the players & The Business, Working together, we CAN make it better. And we will.

That was a specific promotion in January called Bounty Hunter Champion which replaced the main schedule for 4 weeks. The main schedule returned in February although there have been plenty of changes this year too.

Tikay posted that on 23rd September. If you want correcting on anything else it will have to wait til Monday.

The Bounty Hunter thing was to run and allow the mtt schedule to be revamped. I domt think any of the tournaments I play regularly have changed in any significant way.
Perhaps I read much more into the" long overdue revamp" than I should have.

    My apologies.
I didnt see this thread until January. I didnt look at the date of the fist post, and assumed it was a recent post when I first saw it. I have posted on this thread from January onwards. The thread ran until the end of May.
There was nothing in the thread telling me that a review was not going on. In fact there were many posts discuussing whether various tournaments were coming back in February or not. These discussions could only support my impression, that a review was taking place. I have copied a post which I made on the 17th January which confirms this.
So I was mistaken and must apologise.
Having said that I am not sure that there have been any sinificant changes made to the tournaments I usually play, since October. I couldnt swear to it, but I dont think so. Perhaps you could be so kind as to correct me on Monday if that is not the case.
I didnt appreciate your reply, as throughout my working life I was encouraged to treat my customers with courtesy and respect. This advice proved invaluable to me.
    Nobody appreciates a smartarse.

What do you think the reason is for Sky having to reduce the guarantees on a regular basis now? I get that in the Summer people play less but the winter months are generally acknowledged as the best times for UK based online poker. Not trolling. It's just that i'm surprised as we hear often enough that Sky is having year on year growth. Is Poker itself growing on Sky or is it that figure across all platforms?

Perhaps they will come up with some more attractive tournaments during this review, and maybe more satellites for the bigger buy ins.

Sky James points out your mistake. Let's look at the last 3 lines of your "apology" at 6:13

Do you really think that was called for? Do you not think you are being abusive to James? What's not to understand? Would you be happy if Sky James referred to you in those terms? And what has being Welsh got to do with it?

I do not have a clue what this post means. When does a post become a level? What is well played? I am not being obtuse, I just don't understand what it means. I was suggesting that maybe I don't understand it because I am Welsh. This was obviously a joke.
