Thanks mate but I've got rather expensive tastes so there's still a long way to go... :D

I smashed my robot up last night due to never seen before tilt, not from sky but on stars I was deep in 4 big mtts on stars then the black out for 40 mins, so got blinded down then they stopped all mtts and payed out from positions when 40 min blinding down stoped, that led me to punt in a final table here to get 5th and play like a **** in the main here - need to start on building a new one poor girl 😧

Unlucky Binksy. I heard about the Stars blackout and it sounds like they've dealt with it pretty terribly.

From what I understand, there were a very small number of countries that remained connected and so were happily chipping up on tables where the majority of their opponents were stuck sitting out. To then payout on ICM after 40 minutes of that going on is so not the right way to go about things. I'm sure the conspiracy theorists will be having a ball on the back of this!

May I suggest Duesenberg's recommended read of the day...

If I find the time, I might post a little story about the reaction to the problem on 'Stars last night.

Nothing quite so funny as the hysterical reaction of outraged poker players after a site has probs.

On Sky Poker it usually takes the form of multiple exclamation marks, which rather reminds me of those who wear a baseball cap backwards. The best thing is, it does not occur to them how dumb they look. Like, say, this fella......

ICM wise it cost me over 1.6k so was raging same as 1000s of other players, Romina and Belgium and few others had some party last night I bet.

Make sure you e-mail them. Seems like they are processing refunds but if you e-mail them they will look at individual cases so seems if you shout loud enough you will get your case looked at properly.

I was watching Spraggy's twitch stream last night (he's a member of Stars TeamPro) and he was saying Stars had now decided to process refunds/payouts from the time the problems started (as opposed to the point at which they eventually paused the tourneys), so you may well be getting your full ev back after all @JJBinks. He said it could take around 72 hours to work everything out though.

This is probably not the place to ask, but on that subject, is basically the case that there is now a blanket ban on streaming Sky games? It's seems to be so, but maybe someone official could confirm/update either way? It'll be a real shame if that is correct and remains so moving forward.

Went back on twitter where I saw about it and guy did an updated post where stars had confirmed they going back through to look at it. At one point it was only if people e-mailed that cases would get reviewed but that isn't the case now so what Spraggy said is correct.

    Hi Guitar Bloke.

I really don't want to spell it out again, as I'm between a rock & a hard place here, but if you go back to the thread in question, & the 2 replies by @Sky_SamT , he makes the position quite clear if you read it properly. And he ended with "just be practical". (As in "sensible"). If you start running your mouth & abusing everyone left right & centre - & we know you would not of course - then it well might become a problem, because once a complaint is made, it has to go to Compliance, & once it gets to Compliance, all bets are off.

PS - I know you have an interest in guitars, but does that extend to guitarists? Wonderful TV Show about Eric Clapton the other night, well worth watching if you are into cool guitars & guitarists. I want to be Eric Clapton when I'm old enough. Maybe the coolest guy ever? Oh to have the body to wear a white suit, eh?

Just to update the 'Stars refunds thing.

Yes, they are reviewing the original settlements, & I would be surprised if they don't come up with a fair & just settlement. Getting some poker players to agree "fair & just" is another matter, of course. Every single player left in every single MTT & SNG claimed they would have won it.

And to further update that, 'Stars had the problem again last night, 2nd night running, & all MTT's, SNG, Spin N Go's etc had to be paused & then cancelled mid-evening. Refunds as appropriate, & in line with TOS, were made immediately.

Thanks for the reply Tikay. Given that more than one of Sky's streamers had received emails at the same time asking them to stop, I was a little unclear as to the situation. In particular, I can't think of anything at all that @JJBinks could have done to warrant any complaints heading Sky's way (I miss the Binks streams :(). I'm far too old and uncool to be a streamer, but never say never I guess. It's good to know at least that if I (or anyone else) did decide to give it a go, it wouldn't automatically invoke a cease and desist email.

I've got a lot of time for old Slowhand. When I was a kid, Wonderful Tonight was one of the first songs I ever learnt to play on the guitar (it's proper easy!). Mastering Layla was another matter though and a couple of years later, once I'd finally got it in the bag, I felt like the invincible axe-wielding hero I'd always wanted to be. I've had the pleasure of seeing the great man live in action a few times too. Which channel was showing the documentary?
