Hi all,

We have had fun with this before and I have updated our last attempt to start this years comp. I think people who took part before will get emails inviting them but if not details are below and anyone one else is welcome to join.

Pick your three jockeys and three trainers for up to three stables. When you pick your stable name a page will come up where you can join the league.

Our league name is

Pin : 8034105

Please join early , you can always amend your stable/jockeys/trainers up to the start of the festival. YOU CANNOT AMEND THEM WHEN THE FESTIVAL STARTS.


Then all you need to do is pick your horses each day.

Please remember when joining the league there is a prize for the top league , which we have been close to winning in the past so please take as seriously as you can.

    As a bit of a bump and in case I forget to post on Monday when I return from a mini break below is the scoring system. PLEASE NOTE IT ISNT ALWAYS BENEFICIAL TO PICK SHORT PRICED HORSES. YOU OFTEN GET MORE POINTS FOR A PLACED LONG ODDS THAN YOU DO A SHORT PRICED WINNER. OF COURSE LONGER PONTS WINNERS ARE REALLY WHAT WE WANT AND LOTS OF THEM !!!!!!!

    ALSO PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOUL OF UNUSED CREDITS (RULE AT BOTTOM), SELECT A HORSE IN EVERY RACE

    Scoring Points
    Please note: all points are doubled for The Cheltenham Gold Cup (3.30 on Friday):

    Jockeys & Trainers
    Your 3 Jockeys and 3 Trainers will score points as follows.
    • Race Win: 40 points
    • Race Place*: 10 points

    Horses
    Your selected horse in each race will score points as follows:

    Race Win:
    10 times the Starting Price (SP)
    E.g. SP of 6-1? Score 10 times the starting price: 10 x 6 = 60 points.

    Race Place*:
    3 times the Starting Price (SP)
    E.g. SP of 5/2? Score 3 times the starting price: 3 x 2.5 = 7.5 points.

    * Place applies as follows:
    • 5 to 7 runners: place applies to 2nd only
    • 8 or more horses: place applies to 2nd and 3rd
    • In Handicap Races with 16 or more runners: place applies to 2nd, 3rd and 4th
    • 4 or less horses: no place applies

    Dead Heat
    In the event of a dead heat for any win or place position, for the purposes of the game, all dead heated horses will score full win and place points.

    Unused Credits
    For each race you don't select a horse, you will lose 5 points. So don't miss a race!

    In the event that a non-runner is selected, the credit will be considered to have been used.
