So is that it, or will there be further delays?

Is the first step for us to get it approved in Parliament on Saturday?

How do we think that will go?

The DUP are definitely voting against.

The DUP are not the most important factor here. Neither are the LibDems. The Brexit Party have precisely 0 votes.

The key factors are going to be:-

    1. How many Conservatives will vote against this deal; and
    2. How many Labour MPs are going to vote for the deal

It is a repackaged May deal, with the Backstop made to look different-let's call it May B.

Is it ideal? No. Is it a compromise that can actually help this country move forward? Yes.

There will be time for debate/General Elections etc AFTER we have left. But at least it will be the end of the beginning.

Also likely to make Boris look like some kind of hero. That can't be a good thing.

When you have a majority of -45 then every vote is important.
It is not only the DUP themselves.
They claim the support of at least 15 of the ERG.
    So Dup support was crucial.

The key factors are going to be:-

    1. How many Conservatives will vote against this deal; and
    2. How many Labour MPs are going to vote for the deal

If the DUP claims are correct, then they will need at least 25 more from the above groups.
    Likely to be a stretch.

It is actually close her first proposal which had a NI only backstop.
    So probably May-1.

Is it ideal? No. Is it a compromise that can actually help this country move forward? Yes.

    Will it get though?
    Doubtful.

There will be time for debate/General Elections etc AFTER we have left. But at least it will be the end of the beginning.

Apparently the Tory Chief Whip was forecasting that all Tory votes, the DUP, and 15 of the Tory rebels, would get it through by a majority of 1.
IDS is not looking very happy om Politics live.

I see he managed to squeeze in “ Takes back control”
If it doesn’t get through Parliament, Boris will get a bigger majority in the soon to be General Election.
    Seems people have forgotten Austerity...

Boris is attempting to get the EU to announce today or tomorrow, that there will be no extension.
That means the vote on Saturday may come down to this deal or no deal.
So thats his plan to get around sending the letter asking for the extension
    Very interesting.

Everyone knows that the DUP votes are available for the right incentive.

This will be a shot in the foot if it encourages the no deal fanatics to vote against.
