If Boris applied his Brexit strategy to a poker game, he would be getting his coat before the end of the first level.

That first level would take an eternity, whether online or live.
Online, Corbins time bank would run out, live, they’d have to bring in the clock.
With all the liberals railing Corbin, they’re wondering what cards Corbin has against the Johnson shove.

The point I was making was that his strategy has been pathetic.

We were leaving by 31st October, do or die, he would rather be dead in a ditch than not leave. We wont be.
He said he wouldn't Prorogue Parliament, but he did twice.
He said he would never accept a border in the Irish Sea, but he has.
NI would never be treated differently to the rest of the UK, but they are.
He wouldn't send the extension letter, but he did.
    Albeit childishly unsigned.
His word is worth absolutely nothing.

In 2018 he said staying in the single market was "mad". In 2016 he said he was in favour of it, in 2012 he said he wanted to stay in it, and during the referendum his Vote Leave campaign literature claimed: "Britain will have access to the single market after we vote leave."
He is currently engaged in promising to leave it , overnight, despite the fact 66% of Brexit voters thought we wouldn't, and it is according to his own views "mad".

in 2003 he told the House of Commons: "I am a bit of a fan of the European Union. If we did not have one, we would invent something like it."

I know what what you’re getting at, but the commons is full of hypocrites.
The “ rather be dead in a ditch “ quote, was made by him to emphasize the the fact he wanted to kick on and get Brexit done.
A rather strange choice of words indeed, but the media keep picking up on that, and it’s obvious as to why he said it, as above.
I do follow politics and buisness, mainly because there’s a link between the two if you trade shares.
But,I have never voted in my life, and don’t wished to, so I’m neutral.
There can’t possibly be a good deal, it wouldn’t make sense for the EU to give us one.
There’s going to be a recession in Europe anyway, there’s always a good chance of one every ten years.
So whether in or out of the EU, it makes no odds.
As I think I’ve said before, it’s the banks that run the country, whereas the governments just meddle with it.

And I keep spelling Corbyn as Corbin as I’ve a mate with the latter surname😁

The track record of Boris shows him to be a liar quite clearly.
He’s comes back with “ off the wall” ideas to put the pressure on Corbyn to make some kind of move.
I think Corbyn is waiting for Johnson to hang himself, then make his move.
All this bish bosh going on has taken centre stage.
The overriding factor is still the fact that the politicians said they’d honor the vote of the referendum, and they’re not.
Trying their hardest not to imo.
It’s a shame Spitting Images isn’t on tv anymore, they’d be on a 24 hour shift.

The trade deal negotiations haven't really started yet.
The EU are accused of loads of stuff by our side.
Much of the criticism is without any evidence.
What is fairly obvious is that the EU will want a close relationship, as it is a two way street.
Another blatantly obvious fact is that if the deal they gave us matched our current terms, that it would just encourage others to leave.
So what ever we end up with will be less than we have now.

You cant ignore that the EU are far and away our biggest customers.

I disagree about a good deal.

A Norway plus deal, would be close to where we are now.

They said at the beginning that there would be no problem with a Canada type deal, which is apparently what Boris favours.

The EU 27 have been united, it is our side that cant agree on anything.

It is almost impossible to be neutral on Brexit.

I think this debacle of us trying to leave has assured that any other country who had thoughts of leaving, that those ideas have well and truly been squashed. Perhaps that was the EU's plan all along,to make an example of us,so as to deter any more would be exits.

There was talk of them making a comeback.

I think some of the politicians have faced unjustified criticism.

It is impossible for many of them to do what is expected of them.

How on earth do you combine support for your constituents, your party, your country, and the UK as a whole.

If you were a Labour MP with a leave constituency. You could be fired for not voting with the party.
If you had a remain constituency, should you honour the vote, or your constituents.

What about the SNP, when their party, Country, and their constituents, all voted remain, how do they honour the UK vote?
