Interesting I am being called a nit by a player who folds 99 to a 3x open with a ~25bb stack.
Far be it for me to state who is or isn't a nit, but let's use a fine pillar of the community, @Duesenberg , to adjudicate. As can be seen below, I have a solid TAG colour.
I wonder what colour your label is, allowing him to make any adjustments given the hand history you showed above
Haha well he's told me many times that I have the purple 'aggro fish' tag Whether or not that's true will have to wait to be revealed as I can literally never play Monday nights.
Lol you're obviously not a nit, as evidenced by your relentless attacking of my opens and 3bets What I meant was your range in that spot is going to be nitty. The guy who open limps has a tendency to never fold anything to any sizing once he's put money into the pot (especially if someone jams and there's a bounty at stake), and whilst he plays pretty passive pre, post he's often just bombing 10x pot with any piece, which has the potential to put a lot of your range in a pretty dicey spot with the ICM here, even if what he's doing is pretty ridiculous. You very well know this so your range to iso him is going to be much tighter. Standard fold I think Though to be clear, I'm never folding 99 to you under just about any other circumstance
Good to see it was taken in the spirit it was intended.
I always thought I had to move up to get my raises respected. I wonder what the higher stakes wizards are folding to me there if an 'aggro fish' is folding 9's.
You were never in any danger of losing your purple tag Angmar but, for the record, it's not one of my fish tags and other notable bearers include @MattBates and @loololollo. Actually, reading that sentence back, maybe you are in the wrong category after all .
As for that hand above, your jam on the turn had my Q high crushed, so it was a pretty solid value bet .
- Play at least 40 tournaments X Eat in an 8 hour period each day - Workout 5 times
6/7 days I eat within an eight hour period. Good to get back on track after a bad week last week. Managed to get rid of the couple of pounds I put on too.
-2lbs for the week (overall -6lbs)
Played 57 tournaments. The most amount of tournaments I've played in a week since starting this, which is pleasing. A pity it resulted in my worst week in terms of results.
Weekly result +£16.89 (Overall +£883.90). Managed a couple of wins in the morning tourneys.

Just to be clear, I was only banting.

Now we shall see the exploit, re-exploit & re-re-exploit.

Quite convenient you can't play Mondays though
I'm still astonished that he folded 9-9 so readily in that hand.
It was, as it turned out, a correct fold, but I'm not sure it's "correct" long-term.
To be fair, his logic for folding was impeccable, & spot on.
Here's that hand from this morning Duesy, can I have my purple tag back now?

You ought to be very pleased with that overall.
