    So there's that.

I'm not sure whether or not I should push for priority. I know there are far more important things going on right now than whether or not I should push for priority but, well, I really don't know if I should or not.

Last month when I sweated spinal fluid trying to get to 10,000 points, I lost roughly £400 in the remaining two/three days of the month. I didn't particularly enjoy this. This month I have six days to get 3,500 points which is doable and should add £200-plus in rakeback alone but, well, I really don't know if I should push for it or not.

I promise my next post will be better than this. Went for a one man bender last night in my bedroom and am feeling a little janky today. Well, a lot janky.

Hope you're all safe and well out there.

    Opening bankroll: £212
    Current bankroll: £1,031

    Thanks @Jac35 , @waller02 and @Teacakes - appreciate the support. You're good people.

Planning on updating more regularly and thoroughly towards the weekend and beyond but just feel completely flitty at the mo and I'm not putting in a ton of volume. The times I have played poker, though, have been a welcome distraction from the world unravelling - in particular an hour or so of cash on @Duesenberg 's stream last night which was a real joy.

    Starting bankroll: £212
    Current bankroll: £659

If memory serves me..I think I might have contributed to this delirium you are experiencing.. >:):s

Decided, on balance, not to go for priority. Instead, I decided to write a short play over the weekend instead. Then I decided that everyone is writing short plays over the weekend instead and, in fact, I actually should go for priority. Played for seven/eight hours, made 700-ish points, lost about two fiddy. Maybe I should have written that (short) play after all. Oh well.

    glglgl all.

Without wanting to turn this diary into a sauce-making diary - although if I looked deep within myself, that's precisely what I want - what sort of mushrooms do you use? A couple of weeks ago I walked six miles to get good mushrooms for a soup. True story.

For my peppercorn sauce I tend to use a shallot, garlic, beef stock, red and white wine, black peppercorns and organic double cream. It's almost my favourite thing to cook. I'm very interested in this boiled new potato component - may try it out. Lovely to have you here.

This will soon be a thin brag.

Sauce sounds very nice, intrigued with the red and white wine. I've always used one or tother, Madeira or brandy. Will have to give it a go, if I can find the time.

With regards to the mushrooms, it depends if I'm making it at home or not I guess. In the restaurant I'm lucky enough to have a supplier who is down the market each morning, so it would be a nice selection of wild mushrooms, ceps, chanterelle, girolle, porcini, oyster etc. At home, we're quite democratic, and I'm the only one who likes mushrooms so its usually a small quantity of chestnut mushrooms, smuggled into the house by night.

If you have any fields near by to forage, the St. Georges mushroom will be abundant in a few weeks and are very tasty.

Nice work spinning the BR, dont let minor blips discourage, and GL spinning on and up.

This appears to be a tragedy, with a little farce :)

Haha, indeed. Decide to do one thing, change my mind and decide to do something else and fail at both is what's kept me going all these years. Say what you want about the tenets of this, dude, at least it's an ethos.

Thanks for your kind words, man. Thanks for your mushroom words, too. They do a nice collection in Waitrose of mushrooms, all in one pack: flat ones that look a little like halloumi, weird ones that look straight out of a scary fairytale, long thin ones and some other ones. As you can tell, I'm no mycologist. Not yet, at least.

I'll keep my eyes out for St. Georges. Thanks again dude.

Have withdrawn at £750 so at least £37.50 is headed towards @StayOrGo 's charity and the same to the local (pretty much opposite my house) foodbank. I'll be rounding both sums up to £40, though.

But, come on, let's try and spin it up a bit more. There's £156 left in my account which, within minutes, is going to be funnelled into a bunch of tournaments. Not sure which ones yet. Updates every hour until I bust them all.

hourly update: don't think I like tournament poker

GII in £33 bh w/65 on 652 flop and lost top TT. Lots of other things happened, few of them any good. Still going in four tournaments though!

The thing I most enjoy with what Steve @SR23 pens is what he hints at but does not actually tell us. e.g.,

"They do a nice collection in Waitrose of mushrooms, all in one pack: flat ones that look a little like halloumi, weird ones that look straight out of a scary fairytale, long thin ones and some other ones"

I mean, the whole sentence is reasonably interesting, but then you add that "some other ones" & I lay awake for an hour trying to figure out what that really means. "Some other ones" is the coup I need the griff on.

And he annoyingly does that in so many posts.

Lots of things happened, mostly bad, & some other things.

I've a modicum of interest in the bad things, but **** as **** to know what the some other things were.

Ah, my absolute pleasure. Not sure the best way to get the money to you - perhaps pm me over the next couple of days w/bank details. Or whatever's easiest/best.

Just beat off 1659 villains (oo-er missus) to win today's freeroll for £50 and a seat in the UKOPs high roller which I'll probably also win, judging by how good I've got at flips over the last hour or two. I'll take 10% off this near-guaranteed first place for the respective charities.
