The thing I most enjoy with what Steve @SR23 pens is what he hints at but does not actually tell us. e.g.,

"They do a nice collection in Waitrose of mushrooms, all in one pack: flat ones that look a little like halloumi, weird ones that look straight out of a scary fairytale, long thin ones and some other ones"

I mean, the whole sentence is reasonably interesting, but then you add that "some other ones" & I lay awake for an hour trying to figure out what that really means. "Some other ones" is the coup I need the griff on.

And he annoyingly does that in so many posts.

Lots of things happened, mostly bad, & some other things.

I've a modicum of interest in the bad things, but **** as **** to know what the some other things were.

Haha, I totally adored this comment. And some other things.
    Pack it in, please.

PS - well done in that Freeroll. 1,659 runners, crazy times.

    Hi Steve.
Was awesome to share a table with you tother day ( Mini I think)
Isn’t it amusing how Irony plays a part in poker, as in life.
My stack last night in the same tournament was decimated by QQ v my KK
Having dragged myself back to 2nd in chips on the table, I decide to shove my QQ In BB over a min raiser and flat.
Min raiser calls with the mighty 10 J.
Flatter has KK and bust me , good old irony.

On a more serious note , I’m making sausage casserole for dinner, I’m putting sausages in the casserole, what “ Other stuff” would you suggest?

    I can't do a better answer than @Essexphil 's I'm afraid.

Great sharing a table with you, too, although from memory I raise/folded for an hour and a half before jamming QT after a limp and a call. Good old poker. I like the flatter's flat in the above hand, although I can imagine you didn't too much, ul.

Hope to see you on the tables again soon, old sport.

Have withdrawn at £750 so at least £37.50 is headed towards @StayOrGo 's charity and the same to the local (pretty much opposite my house) foodbank. I'll be rounding both sums up to £40, though.

But, come on, let's try and spin it up a bit more. There's £156 left in my account which, within minutes, is going to be funnelled into a bunch of tournaments. Not sure which ones yet. Updates every hour until I bust them all.

Awesome, and thank you so much!

    Take care and keep safe.
Ah, my absolute pleasure. Not sure the best way to get the money to you - perhaps pm me over the next couple of days w/bank details. Or whatever's easiest/best.
Easiest way is by this link mate. Thanks again.

Sorry to derail your thread Steve , but I feel compelled to reply 😊
Chips are off the menu for the foreseeable
Why ? I hear you and ‘ countless’ others ask..
Good lady purchased one of them new fangled Air Fryers
On the very day I picked my good lady up from hospital to bring her home to a stress free environment - Dear daughters BF used it to make chips.
Apparently the heat from the device emits from behind
It melted our Central Heating control thingy in the kitchen
    Awesome.....

The “ Other Things” on this occasion were a variety of words ( some profanities)
    They didn’t help.
