There's a plethora of choice today, with Liverpool v Palace, Man U v Sheff Utd, Wolves v Bournemouth, Norwich v Everton & Newcastle v Villa.
We need a reasonably open betting market though, & much as we all love watching Liverpool or Man U, they are both long odds on.
So, by a process of elimination, we end up with....
Newcastle United v Aston Villa @ 6pm
Neither team is doing great, with Newcastle 13th, & Villa in dire trouble one off the bottom. I thought Villa might get a result against Chelsea over the weekend & held the lead for a while before 2 quick Chelsea goals sunk them. Newcastle, meanwhile, thumped the Blades 3-0 & looked a half decent side for once.
Both Managers are on thin ice, though one feels for Dean Smith, who has John Terry lurking in the background eagerly waiting to take his job.

Newcastle fans don't like the outgoing Mike Ashley, don't like the new incoming owners & probably did not like the previous owners. Hard to please, them lads.

Every single minute I have spent in the company of Jen Mason has been fun, she's just great in every way & I love her to bits.
Except on one occasion...
We had been playing some poker in Newcastle & stayed over at the Marriott. Before heading south on Sunday morning, we were having a coffee in the lounge when who should walk in & take the table next to us but Bobby Robson. THE Bobby Robson.
I'm rarely starstruck, but he's some special guy, & I nudged Jen & said "look who it is". She glanced across, stared at him, then turned to me & said "who is he?".
Never been so ashamed.
By way of a change, here's a visual Match Preview, though I fear it's a little myopic. I think it was recorded in the bloke's bedroom, & had to be cut short when his Mum called him down for dinner, bless him.

We might get to see Andy Carroll if he is fit, though that's always a long shot with him.
Was there ever a player who was worse value for his employers over a 10 year span? If there's an injury, he's had it, usually twice. He does look cute with his little manbob though.
@Tikay10
Did you see John Terry "celebrating" when Villa took the lead against Chelsea?
I don't think his heart is in it.
He didn't look too pleased.
Yes Bobby Robson was a very special man. I used to work GRE in Ipswich and followed the Town in his glory years. Met him a number of times at GRE v Ipswich town Cricket matches and Sports Quizzes.
By the way
DRAW and no goals
Thank you
