Got to admire the stamina of Biden and Trump.

2 old men. Who have managed to maintain an election for 5 days.

    Impressive :)

Overnight, Trump has gone from 25/1 to 15/1 on the machine. Not quite sure why that would be. I do wish they'd get the result finalised, it's making me nervous, & we really don't need a man who has lost his mind running the USA for another 4 years.

Despite his claims to the contrary, Trump is a bit thick.
This is the first time they have allowed "no fault" postal votes.
Previously voters were required to have a valid excuse in order to vote by post.
Armed forces serving abroad, or a reasonable excuse for not being able to vote in person.
The pandemic was an obvious reason to allow this.
The number of postal votes obviously increased dramatically.
The Democrats embraced this and were vociferous in encouraging their supporters to take advantage.
Trump on the other hand has not allowed extra funds for the postal service to meet the increased demand.
In addition to this he has spent the last few months questioning the legality of postal votes, and categorically stating that it would lead to fraud.
He made it absolutely clear that he was totally against postal votes, full stop.
Some states ruled that the counting of postal votes should only take place after the in person votes were fully counted.
Ohio was an exception to this rule, and Biden led from start to finish.
It is therefore not a surprise that few Trump supporters voted by post.
It also follows that the overwhelming number of postal votes were in favour of Biden.
Why is he therefore questioning instances of him losing in States where he was leading during the count of the in person votes, after the postal votes were counted.
He is just thick on times.

The whole thing has been a bit of a shambles.

Why couldnt they make election day the deadline for postal votes, and count at least some of the early votes beforehand.

The only thing that looks like a banana republic is the son of the sitting U.S. President calling for “total war” over an election when votes are still being counted

    Donald Trump Jr.

The best thing for America’s future is for @realDonaldTrump to go to total war over this election to expose all of the fraud, cheating, dead/no longer in state voters, that has been going on for far too long.

It’s time to clean up this mess & stop looking like a banana republic!

What power-mad people like Trump need to realise is that their legacy is not just about what they do when they have power, but also about how they react when they lose it.

He could have been remembered as a somewhat eccentric man, who may have spoken his mind too much, but (mostly) delivered on what he promised. Not a great President, but someone who had fervent admirers.

Instead he will be remembered as the sort of man who tried to do everything in his power to deny the will of the electorate.

    Sad man.
