The Official Viva Las Vegas Thread

So far, three players are in tonight's Quarter Final.

They are trying, on a 1 entrant in 10 basis, to qualify for Sunday's Semi-Final, from which they go through to the Monthly Final on April 4th, where 1 in 10 will win th £10,000 Viva Las Vegas package.

I'll try to keep a list of the qualifiers on this Thread, as it develops.

    i can see sky taking nearer the 10 person mark this year to vegas, the traffic must have doubled since last year and with more players playing bigger stakes everyone will be eager to get in.

    2nd place got £9,000 in one event last year.
    Each place in the final effectively contributed £1,000 to the prize pool and the first place was worth £10,000.
    There were 19 runners and hence £9,000 for 2nd place.
    If there had been 10 runners, 2nd place would have got nothing.

    They now have NINE already for tonight's Quarter Final, with players sat at various Satellites which feed into that, so there will certainly be 10 or more in tonight's Quarter Final.

    Just want to make a comment before we get to the semi's. I have noticed the structure of the Semi-Final is 2500 chips 10 minute blinds, For a £100+ buyin would it not be more appropriate to have at least 12 minute blinds? I noticed the main final is 15 mins with 5k chips, possibly the semi somewhere in the middle. 3000 and 12 min blinds?

    Amazingly, there are now TWENTY-SEVEN runners in tonight's 9pm Quarter-Final! This will mke 3 seats for sure, maybe 4 or even 5, into Sunday's Semi. Excellent!

    Not allowed JJ, but if I go to Vegas, I will go there to "work", & to be honest, I love it that way, I've done it about 7 times now Plenty of time to play poker when I am a little older, eh?

    I hope to do Updates of some of the Qualifiers when I'm around - might even do one tonight, if time permits, there are 31 runners already!
