Brian Barnes didn’t care for slow play

That's Hollinwell GC, great course and definitely worth a visit, not far from you Paul.

    @HENDRIK62

Toughest course I ever played. Think they used to hold Open qualifying there.

They did indeed, I know the pro well, Mike Bradley.
He is a really nice guy, I played with him at Turnberry.

With thanks to Merchants of Edinburgh Golf Club
    Shamelessly stolen :)

    ….

Yeah, it’s on the list. I’ve never played there
Coxmoor across the road is pretty decent too i believe

Yikes, Coxmoor is another brutal course.

Terrible memories of attempting to hack it round Hollingwell, Coxmoor & Woodhall Spa. They have ladders at Woodhall Spa to climb into the pot bunkers. Getting into them was not the problem though, it was getting out of the things that was the prob.

I was quite pleased to get it out of the quarry at Lindrick a couple of weeks ago. Made par too :)

If you look carefully there’s a tubby dwarf on the bottom left of the pic hacking it out

Hitting it out of bounds and making par is very impressive

    Correction to your comment

I thought it was OB when i hit it. I got there and the white posts were just for warning of the quarry and not Out of bounds markers

Thank you anyway for your post 😀

Where I stay is a golfers paradise, within a 6 mile radious of my house there are 14 courses, 7 private ( Troon, Barassie, Dundonald, Western Gailes, Glasgow Gailes, Bogside and Ardeer ) and 7 municiple ( Lochgreen, Darley, Fullarton, Caprington, Annanhill, Auchenharvie and Ravenspark ), I've played them all ( badly ) except Dundonald.

I played Barassie in -3 temperatures
Was a little tricky holding the green
