Murderer Savannah Brockhill (right), 28, is being held in the isolated wing at HMP Styal in Cheshire for her own safety. She has been designated the 'number one target' by some prisoners at the 486-population jail. Brockhilll was jailed for at least 25 years yesterday for murdering innocent little Star (top inset) after a reign of terror on the little girl where she repeatedly punched and abused her. Her girlfriend Frankie Smith - who was the toddler's mother - was sentenced to eight years for allowing the killing to happen. A source told MailOnline: 'Brockhill has been put in separation in Styal for her own protection. She'll be the number one target there. Prisoners will be queuing up to try and shank her.'

Baby Teddie died with 17 broken ribs, fractures to his skull and collarbone and brain, spinal and eye damage. Wow. It was both terrible & wonderful. Terrible to see how utterly despicable the parents were - especially Kane - but at the same time, some of the best TV you'll ever see. Non-fiction beats fiction all day long.
Viewing figures for what is known as "reality tv" - "I'm a Celebrity" sort of dross - are inexplicably high, but what we see in 24 Hours Police Custody is real reality TV.
Anyone watch that 2-parter which concluded last night?
Wow. It was both terrible & wonderful. Terrible to see how utterly despicable the parents were - especially Kane - but at the same time, some of the best TV you'll ever see. Non-fiction beats fiction all day long.

The Mother just getting a suspended sentence was really disappointing. It has been a terrific series. He is evil. I watch a lot of true crime programmes, and one thing that amazes me is the reason why any women would want to stay with a man like Kane, yet so many do. Often with tragic results. The neighbours recording of him kicking off was scary, and must have made her life a misery. Yet she persisted in defending him. Logic dictates that if a baby dies from horrendous injuries, that couldnt have been caused by accident, and there are two people living together, then if it wasnt you, it has to be the person you are living with. The post autopsy description of how the babys injuries must have been inflicted was sickening.
Another good drama on yesterday, was based on the true story of Stephen Port. Unfortunately, yet another case of horrific police bungling, probably made the result worse than it needed to be, an subjected the families involved to a shocking ordeal. It also highlighted the dangers of internet dating/hooking up. You could hope that this could act as a warning to young people. Although I think it is likely that it wont act as a deterrent. It is called "Four Lives."
Yes, the whole "24 Hours in Police Custody" series has been terrific TV.
Agree as to the Mother getting a suspended sentence. She KNEW Kane killed the kid, & she protected him. And yes, how weird is it that a woman who was suffering repeated physical violence from her fella protects him by lying. Very odd.
The multiple injuries sustained by the 3 month old child could ONLY have been inflicted by someone - the Mother or Kane - it was not possible they were caused by illness or simply falling out of his cot or whatever.
