Amazon.

The fact that I cant get my favourite soft drink can, which is Tango Strawberry & Watermelon locally, prompted me to look on Amazon.
I wouldnt have thought of going there otherwise.
They had it so I ordered some.
I was surprised by the deals on other stuff.
I got 48 cans of Irn Bru for £15.
48 cans of Diet Pepsi for £16.
36 cans of Rubicon for £12. (this is a really nice drink)

One of a few reasons I avoid Amazon unless no real choice. Their plan was to sell everything and they just about are.

I cant see why they would take the money unless you had activated a free trial, or a prime membership.
I had three free 30 day trials over the years, before I took it up, and cancelled each time before the payment was due.
They never charged me a penny.
I really dont see how anyone can take money from your bank account if you havent authorised it.
I have taken out 30 day free trials on Britbox, and Acorn, through prime, cancelled them without a problem, without paying any money.
If you have people debiting your bank account without you agreeing to it, I would be concerned.
Alternatively, perhaps you are activating a free trial without noticing, and not actually getting any benefit from it.

It's actually happend twice and may be it was my mistake first time i had the free trial then they just charged me for a couple of months before i realized , 2nd time i made sure not to have the free trial but they still charged the £8 the following month ,i dunno could have made a mistake but when i cancelled they refunded me
I have to watch my pennies with only a certain amount coming in each month so these little things are a no no , i have sky but the basic package with the docus because that's all i can afford

If you take the free trial, they set up the direct debit for the day after the trial ends.
You just have to cancel before the payment is due.
If you dont cancel then they just assume you wish to continue, and take the payment.
I find them to be pretty fair.

Its hardly their fault if you forget to cancel it.
They clearly tell you that the payments will start immediately the free trial ends, unless you cancel it.

When I did the free trials on Britbox, and Acorn through prime, I cancelled the both of them early to make sure I didnt forget.
They sent me an email to confirm they were cancelled, but informed me that I could still use them until the end of the trial.

They told you upfront exactly what would happen.
    You forgot to cancel.
They took a payment that they were entitled to.
Despite this, when you complained, they returned the money that was rightfully theirs.
How could you moan about that?

I have had Prime on and off over the years and the odd free trial.

In my experience, you've only got to look at the prime button and your subscribed.

When it comes to cancelling, you have to hunt high and low for the cancellation option, and when your nearly there , it throws obstacles in your way to get you not to cancel or put off cancelling for a few days.

One time when I went to cancel, what looked like a cancel button turned out to be subscribe for the year button.

It took the money instantly too, I got it back after a phone call.

Amazon is a great service, but they are slippery fockers.
