Grim Reaper of the Premier League as Man United add Erik ten Hag to list of managers sacked after losing to West Ham.

What is it about West Ham and getting managers sacked as Man United axe Erik ten Hag following Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at the London Stadium.

Such was the pressure on Julen Lopetegui and Erik ten Hag at West Ham and Manchester United respectively leading up to Sunday’s Premier League clash, it was dubbed ‘El Sackico’.

West Ham the Grim Reaper of the Premier League.

    Frank Lampard – Everton 2023.

    Bruno Lage – Wolves 2022.

Slaven Bilic – West Bromwich Albion 2020.

Steve Bruce – Aston Villa 2018.

    Mauricio Pellegrino – Southampton 2018.

Frank de Boer – Crystal Palace 2017.

Ruben Amorim 'agrees' to become Man Utd's next manager after Erik ten Hag sacking.

Ruben Amorim has reportedly agreed in principle to become the next manager of Manchester United.

The Red Devils and Sporting are currently negotiating a compensation package, but it seems that Amorim, 39, is set to replace Erik ten Hag. Amid interest from Manchester City, United made their move, with Amorim being City's top choice to replace Pep Guardiola should he decide to leave when his contract ends.

I mean its an awkward result to make anything off, as I feared southampton won which may boost their confidence. However it was against a team near bottom of the championship and the score line did look weak, however they did dominate possession and attempts.

I guess really it still leaves things open for saturday massive massive game on saturday.

    COME ON EVERTON!

The so called bigger clubs and their fans care about it when they win it but dismiss it if they don't such is the fickleness of sport.

    Don't see why Dave.

Arsenal and Port Vale both lost, Stoke won. Just need Man Utd to lose tomorrow and that's a perfect weekend.

Hating on a team without having the reverse, ie a team to support, is weird.

It is, at a primeval level, tribal. You support your tribe. And there is always another tribe to pretend you are superior to. It's not just sport-every village, town and city has another village, town, city or part of city they look down on.

It's what makes life fun, as long as it is not taken to extremes. A classic example is @lucy4 On 1 level he seems like a one-eyed Arsenal-loving, Spurs-hating fan. And on 1 level he may well be. But only on 1 level. He can make fun of Arsenal too, or give praise where praise is due to Spurs. And, partly because of that, I thoroughly enjoy (most) of his Spurs digs. Because it makes life fun.

Compare your football posts with your Basketball posts. I'm not a fan of Basketball-but I much prefer your Basketball posts to your football ones-simply because you are a Supporter first. Then I can understand and relate to the teams you rail against

PS. Spurs (unlike Arsenal) are generally well-liked by other teams. 1 exception is Southampton, because they object to us nicking 1 of their songs. But I wish them no ill-I usually hope all teams coming up to the Premier League survive their 1st season. Don't think they will though

On the subject of Arsenal, that is a classic example of how much football has changed at the highest level. Every Manager is portrayed either as the best thing since sliced bread. Or the worst thing since, er, sliced bread.

I think Emery was, and is, a superb Manager. Who got a raw deal at Arsenal-simply because of the shadow of Wenger. That happens

Arteta is clearly a very good Manager. Up until this season, however, he was getting (IMHO) too much praise. Inherited a good team. No trophy since 2020-and that only the FA Cup. Was clearly getting closer to City-but the praise seemed a little too much to me.

Whereas this season he is getting unfair stick. Not his fault that Odegaard is missing. Or that, at the top level, Rice seems much happier being the 2nd best midfielder for his club or country than the best. Generally, he has bought and sold well, and his teams play good football. I find the current criticism unfair

Edu: Arsenal sporting director to leave club with Gunners surprised by his decision.

Arsenal sporting director Edu has taken the decision to leave the club.

The sporting director has been away in Brazil on personal matters and arrived back late last week.

Sources have told Sky Sports News the Brazilian has been under consideration for a role with Evangelos Marinakis' group of clubs.

They currently include Nottingham Forest, Olympiacos and Rio Ave - and, in the future, potentially a fourth club they are looking to buy in Europe.

It is unclear yet whether that is a reason Edu has made this decision.

The 46-year-old shares a strong bond with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, with whom he has rebuilt Arsenal into title contenders.

Sky Sports News understands the Brazilian's decision has taken Arsenal by surprise.

In September, when the manager signed a new contract, Edu had outlined their new long-term ambitions. There had been no signs he was considering leaving his role.

Edu joined Arsenal as technical director in July 2019 before becoming the club's first-ever sporting director in November 2022.

The former Gunners midfielder has been responsible for the signings of Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice, while he helped offload the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil.

Was this incident worth a five game ban? The moment Mohammed Kudus saw red!

The reporting on this has not been particularly good so far. Because it is all sensationalist. Rather than reporting on the facts.

In Jewish terms, Ajax are the Dutch equivalent of Tottenham Hotspur. They are not a Jewish club. But they have an element of traditional Jewish support. That is why they are proud to sport the nickname of "de Joden" (The Jews). The original stadium was in the Jewish district of Amsterdam. Amsterdam itself was always referred to as a "Mokum" city-which is Yiddish for "safe haven". Going back to times when there were (sadly) far fewer of those.

There were reports of some Palestinian flags being burned. No idea if that is true. But the Netherlands has seen a considerable rise in Far Right ideology. This looked planned. But by local or national Extremist (probably both Far Left and Far Right) groups. Not Ajax fans.
