Morning all, I thought a trip down cover version avenue was the order of the day. Perhaps the most surprising one being the first which is a cover of a, and I can't believe I'm saying this, Taylor Swift song.
Ok, having survived that strange anomaly, we then have a cover of a Pistols classic and then finish with a decent rendition of one of glam rockers The Sweet's finest tracks.
And yet another side note that song has been viewed, wait for it, 3,441,619,921 times!!! (extra !!! to wind @Tikay10 up) I don't even know what that number is.

I recall a story where some missionaries found a really remote tribe. And they only had 3 numbers.
Firstly, the raw punk energy that was The Adverts. Far more than "Gary Gilmore's Eyes". Anyone whose first record was "One Chord Wonders" deserve respect
that was a bit of a blast from the past for me..........i met dave rovics a few times at various protests 15 to 20 years ago now....... really makes me feel old typing that haha.
anyway, i like to mix it up a bit, so heres a couple totally different tracks from last week;

I agree that there are many Springsteen songs that don't appeal to people and these are usually ones where he tries too hard to be meaningful. However, he continued the chain that went from Donavon through Dylan then Springsteen and onto possibly Sheeran.
His biggest hit Born in the USA is played at many events and occasions where the US have a National Team, yet the irony is that Springsteen wrote it as an Anti American commentary.
I suppose that says more about the stupidity of Americans than anything else.
Comments
Always amused me how fans pigeonhole bands. Motorhead played rock and roll-with some blues, punk and metal thrown in.
Similarly, the Sweet may have been Glam-but their influence has been far more towards Metal
@madprof
DEFINITELY not that, though even Val Doonican would be preferable to nirvana.
As a side note about TS this was released earlier in the week.

Then 1 for everyone who is sick of the Election coverage:-

ps. @Williams12 this is where the music goes
"ps. @Williams12 this is where the music goes"
Please note, posting nirvana bilge may get you banned.
@Williams12 well I guess it just depends on the song.
heres my morning music selection;
my day started with this wee classic;
then i had to nip into town, had the headphones on;
might make it onto youtube via the trams cctv haha
now im away to drink 16 pints of rum and watch the footy;
come on scotland give us a win!
Here is the Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican. What's not to love? A folk cover of Rainbow, showing the humorous side of life...
You boys, you really do have terrible tastes in music, so every now & then I have to come on here & straighten you up with some proper music.
Here you go, have a bit of Faith No More. Easy 'innit.
And by way of contrast, have a bit of George when he was at his absolute peak.
There must be 100's of versions of Clapton playing "Crossroads".
Here's the best, by far.
The artistes covered are The Cranberries, Iron Maiden and Ennio Morricone.
IMHO all 3 of these covers are good, but I'm biased.
Enjoy.
nice wee selection up there
my first track today was a new one from atmosphere;
set the tone quite nice had a few decent follow ups, this was the best sound;
after that it got pretty rubbish, so i switched to the housey stuff;
Enjoy.
Bruce Springsteen? Please, no. Chuck him in the same bin as nirvana.
