Quick mention for 2 shows that I have thoroughly enjoyed.
1. Poker Face. What's not to like? A former pro poker player turns detective, as she can always tell when someone is lying. Surprisingly, the stories pay homage to Columbo, as we know whodunnit, and the fun is working out how she works it out 2. The Traitors. There is a certain level of snobbery attached to "Reality" TV. Whereas, like all other genres, a lot is rubbish and some of it is brilliant. If you've not seen it, watch the 1st 2 episodes of either Series 1 or Series 2. When you will be hooked.
Do you watch all of them Phil, or just the UK version.
All of them. But the British one has been best. I would recommend starting with UK Series 1. And fast forwarding past some of the challenges. Here is a sentence I never thought I'd write:-
Claudia Winkleman is superb in this.
Series 2 is the best thing on TV so far this year. Though Series 4 of True Detective is a close 2nd.
The harrowing true story behind Under the Banner of Heaven
After two years of waiting the true crime drama Under the Banner of Heaven has finally arrived on ITVX following its debut on Disney Plus. And from the opening credits the series, starring Andrew Garfield and Daisy Edgar Jones, reveals one thing: it’s based on the true story of Brenda Lafferty and her young daughter Erica.
So, in case you’re wondering how closely the show follows the harrowing true story behind Brenda and Erica’s deaths, here’s everything you need to know about the real-life events Under the Banner of Heaven was based on:
As we see in the Under the Banner of Heaven series, Brenda was 24-years-old when she and her 15-month-old daughter Erica were murdered in their home in Utah. Her husband, Allen, was at work when the killings took place.
Brenda and Erica’s murders were then written about in a book called Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith by Jon Krakauer, which the series is based on. Brenda was stabbed and strangled to death and was found by Allen when he got home for the day. Their daughter had also been stabbed and left in her crib.
"Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen Will Bring the Swagger This Spring"
I will look forward to that, I really enjoyed the film, & Guy Ritchie always delivers.
Ray Donovan gets new spin-off show from Guy Ritchie
Guy Ritchie is set to head a new Ray Donovan spin-off show. Loosely based on the Showtime crime drama starring Liev Schreiber, Paramount+ project The Donovans has Ritchie attached as director and executive producer.
Top Boy creator Roman Bennett is also set to write 10 episodes in the series, according to Deadline.
Ray Donovan follows the titular criminal (Schreiber), a Los Angeles "fixer" who is the go-to guy for celebrities, athletes, businesspeople, and socialites to make their problems disappear.
I just had a look on Paramount+, to see if there was anything new. There wasnt, but there were two shows that I would definitely recommend. The first is The Good Wife, I am sure the title has put loads of people off. I have recommended it before, and @Essexphil watched, and enjoyed it. The second is The Serial Killers Wife. I am not sure they chose the best title for this either. It is not a drama full of dead bodies appearing at the drop of a hat.
I picked this out as something I wanted to see, a while ago. It is based on the true story of Blackberry. Currently available on Prime for £1.99. The trailer has had 5.9m views on YouTube.

Also watched the final two Episodes (3 of 4 & 4 of 4) of The Rise & Fall of Boris Johnson.
Might just be the best TV I've seen this year. Episode 4 in particular was spectacularly good.
Johnson came across dreadfully, as you'd expect, as did his Dad.
The surprise package was Nigel Farage who was shown to have a very sharp mind indeed & analysed the Boris situation more concisely than anyone. I actually think I could come to respect him if he were not such a raving racist.
