How to watch the Jack Irish movies and TV series in order

In 2012, Australian crime drama, Bad Debts aired on television screens. The movie – which starred Guy Pearce – was based on the award-winning book of the same name by Peter Temple, and followed the story of Jack Irish, a criminal defence lawyer who becomes a debt collector.

Shortly after Bad Debts made its debut, the movie was followed by a sequel, Black Tide, which continued Jack’s story. Both films were hits with audiences, and were soon followed by a third entry, Dead Point, which aired in 2014.

With the movies proving popular with television audiences, the stories of Jack Irish were then reworked into a series. The series ran for three seasons, comprising 16 episodes in total.

If you’ve not watched any of the Jack Irish stories, but fancy giving them a go, you will need a list of what to watch, and in what order. A list such as this can be found below.

If I was going to watch this, I would watch the 3 movies first.

Thanks. I have PRIME, do I have to get ACORN now too? These various subscription channels add up, I must have a dozen of them already, now I suppose I'll have to get ACORN too.

Clever the way they suck money out of our pockets.

Having said that, we should not expect (good) entertainment for free I suppose.

Will give this a try pretty soon.

Watched the 1st 3 episodes if the new Reacher. Very watchable, though (like the book) is taking a while to get the story going...

The only Aussie "comedy/crime" series I watched recently was Mr InBetween which I thought was excellent. Nice short (~25 minute) episodes, good crime action & exceptionally funny in parts.

The best thing is that it not getting all confused via getting the old gang back together. It looks like Neagley will join at some point, and that's pretty much it.

    Jack Irish is similar.
