He sounds quite a sleazy punter but some of the papers are going way over the top, one because of it's hatred of the BBC has about 10 different articles basically repeating itself, whilst at the same time has loads of headlined stories running down the side of the paper saying blah blah flashes underboob, blah blah goes braless, blah blah flashes thighs as if we are all 10 year olds, pot, kettle and all that. Journalism is dying a slow death.

Celebrities need to appreciate that the "celebrity" versions of a lot of shows are likely to end. Because they are derailing their own gravy train.
Not defending Gregg Wallace. But, if I remember rightly, he is not the presenter of the show now married to a former celebrity contestant.
And that when he (rather unwisely) states that it is only middle class, middle-aged celebrity women who have complained. The self-same people who criticise that statement are the ones who feel able to make assumptions about men of a certain age.
We need to be able to differentiate between slightly creepy men who say stuff. And creepy men who do stuff. Because they are not the same thing.

Your initial Headline summed up the double standards at play.
A man of a certain age (Rod Stewart) feels perfectly able to call out someone he believes said some inappropriate things to his wife as a "tubby, bald bully".
Yes, but I suggest it's too late. It's a bit like the Gerald Ratner thing, some things, once said, can't be unsaid. We know he THINKS what he said, he just wishes he had not SAID it.
Life will go on just fine without him on TV every night.

Spot on. Total hypocrisy.
Mind you, saw the Headline. First thought was that that was a bit harsh about me

He has taken legal advice. And totally ignored it

Which part of "bald" or "tubby" is relevant?
Bit late for an apology imo. As a Celeb, he's toast.
