In Response to Re: ORFORD'S JUNE BANKROLL CHALLENGE- 30 DAYS TO DOUBLE-UP! : AHhhhhhhhh. Glad you could join us at last, although with your limited experience in the Orfordable Deepstack I doubt you will outlast me yet alone Tikay Lol. I am also registered for the Tikay Sleepstack so come join us if you dare. Good Luck Rich..........See You There. Posted by POKERTREV
Cheers Trev- so far, so ordinary I'm afraid. I'm 32nd out of 45 playing with 4,430 chips of my 5000 as we approach the end of the first hour.
In Response to Re: ORFORD'S JUNE BANKROLL CHALLENGE- 30 DAYS TO DOUBLE-UP! : I don't know whether this takes it out of your BRM scheme but the Orfordable is £3.30. Do you want to consult your bank manager? Posted by MereNovice
Lol- I think this is where I've been going wrong Vince. Playing in tourneys which I think are cheap, but are in reality a little more expensive.
after a terrible start(was down to me last fiver) my everlasting downturn suddenly become an upswing and i managed to turn that last fiver into £215,so from my starting £100 i,ve hit my target plus £15.this game is unreal at times so while i,ve been minimising my losses for a few months now i knew i would hit a run of cards sooner or later so when i did i took maximum advantage and my confidence is slowly coming back. so i,ve hit my target i wont carry on i,ll wait for the next one, great challenge though it does give you an aim in the game and something to think about, roll on the next one..sean

Wow, inspiring stuff Sean. FIVE QUID into £215??!!! Tasty ROI, that!
Glad the cards are coming for you now and that you found this challenge helped you improve.
In Response to Re: ORFORD'S JUNE BANKROLL CHALLENGE- 30 DAYS TO DOUBLE-UP! : Jaeger, that's legendary. I think you deserve one or two of your name-sakes to toast your victory. That's one or two though-you're the designated driver! Posted by RICHORFORD
Thanks Rich, starting to enjoy the scary world of 50p/£1 and £1/£2 cash games. Hope to see you at swansea
managed to get br upto £77.03 now. But not playing well last couple of days so it has gone down a bit. Highest point was a couple of quid off doubling up. Need to refocus.
OK, so we'll gloss over the fact that I re-bought twice and added-on for the princely total of £22. I still managed to take down £66.60!
So- from £82.70 I'm now up to £127.30, which is the first time since I started my series of challenges back in May that I've actually been in profit. LOL!...(or should that be CRY?)
Amazingly still in the green...a really harsh weekend saw my BR fall to £64.14 from £76.00 but still significantly up on my appaling £20.00 from last month!!!
well, br is now £71.36 £30 up on the month, but short of the target of £83 was there for overnight, but since then have lost every race or been out flopped, etc. AAv66, KKvJ9, etc. Lost £12 in 2 days of playing.
Can't catch a cold, so stopping now until end of month to get my head together. Not sure if people are getting looser (if that is possible on 2p/4p!!) or I'm not playing well.
Still has been fun, especially talking to those who know you are in the challenge or who are also doing it. Great atmosphere.
Good luck to everyone. Hope you keep in profit Rich. Don't get carried away!

My advice is don't play again until you have recorded the next The Club and see what Tikay makes of you being In Profit ! Well done Rich. Posted by Machka

Sigh...
That, and playing rubbish poker as well...
So now on £82.70 from £100= minus 17.3%
Status reports please all!
I'm yet to get off the mark this month but I've 'only' lost 17 quid, so feeling reasonably good about that!
How is everyone's challenge faring?
And if you haven't started one yet- it's not too late. Pick an amount, post it on here and pledge to double it before June expires.

This player will self-destruct...on the 2p/4p tables"

Not posted for a while as I have not played as much as hoped due to the world cup. No chance of hitting my target now...
Current £55.49
I'm under the alias of 'ricorford' if anyone fancies stopping by.
Little worried about the 'rebuy' aspect though- my Spidey sense is telling me that this could be the undoing of my June challenge!
Yes, THIRD!!!!
Out of 73 runners!
