This is a great thread- well done Elsa. I love these lateral puzzles.

    Here's one for you all...

A man pushes his car up to a hotel that he's never been to before and he's immediately charged hundreds of pounds by the hotel owner.

    Why?

    PS- No Googling allowed!

After a meal, 3 men give the waiter £10 each to settle their £25 food bill.  They tell the waiter to "take £2 for your tip".

The waiter keeps his £2 and returns £1 to each of the 3 diners.

    Each diner paid £9 ( x 3)  = £27
    Waiter kept £2

    Which equals £29  ..... where's the other £1 gone ????

as tip was already included in the food bill so difference went into the waiter's pocket

The 3 men and the meal puzzler:

Each man paid £9 - so they spent £27 total of which £2 is in the waiters pocket & £25 is in the restaurant till.

    i.e the men spend £27 = £2 + £25

    No money is missing.

Ok this one's a bit difficult.....unless you already know it.

Two sisters, born in March, their birthdays are in September. One sister marries her Father and the other sister marries her Mother, then a year later later they marry each other.

The 2 sisters are born in September the town of March (in Cambridgeshire)

    They both become vicars.

    Their parents get divorced.

When the father gets remarried - a sister does the ceremony (i.e. marries him)
When the mother gets remarried - the other sister does the ceremony (i.e. marries her)

When the sisters get married they do each others ceremony (i.e. marry each other)

A man builds a four-walled house. Each of the walls, on the outside, face due south. The man looks out the window and sees a bear. What colour is the bear?

If all 4 outside walls face due south, then the house has been built on the North Pole (where the only direction you can face is due south) and therefore the bear he sees (assuming it's a wild bear) is a Polar Bear & thus is white.
