Thanks Tikay. Yes I was really made up with first place, especially as the tournament was following the pattern of my recent 2nd places were I took a huge chip lead into the latter stage of the final table only to see it dwindle in front of me, to the point where I was losing the Heads up.. I hung in there and eventually won it this time though. And yes, it feels wicked!! Was getting a lot of nice comments in chatbox too all of which were appreciated.Later on I would like to post a thread to thank people for the railing and kind comments I have received this week and maybe introduce myself as I am a newbie on the forum. If this is ok which section should I post it in? Posted by The_Hux
As Maxy says, post it in "Poker Chat".
You have made a great impression here, & I think you'll be surprised how warm & friendly most of the players here are.

Well, a win is a win I suppose, I'll take it. This is my first post here for three months.
During that time I had several near-misses despite a lower than usual volume. Twice I was all-in and ahead when chipleader heads-up, but I just couldn't manage to get over the line.
Best near-miss was binking £1,020 for 3rd/1828 in the mobile app launch party tournament, so not complaining
