In Response to Re: The low stake cash clinic thread. (NL4/NL8) : Easily dominated hand, not enough flops we like? Posted by The_Don90
Its not dominated by calling stations ranges, it dominates their ranges which is why I would raise. Obv we can't cbet when we miss a huge amount, but when we hit we usually have a hand that can extract value

Yea i agree however can see both sides of arguement.
After Bryan's all in I probably make a fold, shoegal flat calling behind is probably nothing but they ain't folding preflop.
Don't understand how you can flat pre, for me that's the worst option.
On reshoving yes you could but it seems very gambly and tbh at this level you don't need to gamble, there are more than enough fish to wait for a better spot.
Make a standard 6x after one limper (should it be more ?), two folds but then SB 3bets very small followed by a flat, I haven't played this level for a while so these sort of spots confuse me slightly not knowing if flatting the raise is kinda spewy or is it an auto call as I have position. Read on villian is he has raised from SB once before after a few limps but nothing else aggressive, been on table about 20 hands.
Also if I hit top pair A/J high can I ever consider folding (yes I know he's got nothing back here but if he has me covered how concerned would I be about being dead even if I hit ?
Don by shoving your only getting called by a straight or a set here, i dont mind flatting really give them a chance to catch up or look weaker then we are.
Not a bad move but there are more safe turns then not imo for a flat to be ok here
BTW this is player dependent as MP33 is not as bad as other nl4 players so vs him flat
I'd just fold the AJ hand to the 3bet, it's abit annoying as we've 6x folded but it's a cold 3 bet from a smallish stack followed by a cold call from the big blind.
AJ is probably the worst hand we're gonna make it 6x with there, AQ is closer to a 4b shove, I don't think I'd ever call with anything here.
The big blind could stack off with worse though, so if you shove the AJ now, you might even be able to show a profit even if the 3bettor shows aces. It doesn't look like the big blind wants to fold, and I think AJ is well ahead of his range.............

I'm not messing about with Dons aces shoving the flop is ok.
This sort of situation also irritates the **** out of me, as it's like at least let me **** donk off some chips in a failed c-bet. I also sometimes go back to Hartigans tip about donk bets being 2nd pair/not much but it's just a snap fold at 4NL as any sort of bluffing's against the law right ?

easy fold but what irritates me more is if ive raised proper pre and the pots 40p plus depending on raise/callers and they min lead and ive missed with AK/AQ, it doess ma nut, bluffing at a min at this level im afraid
