Trevor a quote from you and somewhat corroborated by others "I like the venue, but, I don't like some of the local members as they seem to look down us and for the most part don't have a good word to say about sky poker players". For the last 2 years at least (and maybe longer but I wasn't on Sky then) other poker players have always slated Sky poker players and the site. Yet they are happy to play the SPT and take Sky's money. How 2 faced can you get? This isn't aimed at all guests who play the SPT . The likes of Paul Jackson, Jen Mason and some of the celebrity guests appreciate the SPt for what it is. Not the biggest tour by any means but certainly the friendliest. It is when local players are entering the SPT that the criticism starts. Would you go into a restaurant and say "the foods rubbish but I will still eat here anyway" I assume the rules say that they have to let locals play too.
Hearing that the first leg of the new tour is again at DTD has made my mind up for me and I will not be trying to qualify. For me it has to be the whole experience and I already know that it will never match the experience I had at Blackpool. Which is a great disappointment to me as I had heard so many great things about DTD, and really wanted to play there sometime. Sadly the reality seems a bit farther from the truth.
P.S. At 3 quid a pop for soft drinks I'd expect a scantily clad girl to deliver my drinks.
Sorry trev that you didn't care too much for certain things in DTD.Scantily clad women, wow,it's 2012 ffs.As with the locals looking down on sky players.I think these people have to realise, regardless how much they earn from poker, that poker is just a card game after all.Let's face it they are not doctors or nurses who are in a profession who care for people.Too many prima donnas in poker in my opinion.WD on your cashes guys.Gl in the dtd tonught guys.

No - But in poker anything that gets up your opponents nose imo gives u an edge. I also think given time we may be able to re-educate them as to how good online poker players actually are nowadays and in someways are a more complete package than live only players as we have learnt to play the game without being able to get a read on players face to face.
If they don't like me, my game or the fact that i'm a sky poker player then thats a good enough incentive for me to go and kick there behinds on the felt

yes i would love to become a member of tpt what would i have to do?
JJ so the fact that it's 2012 is justification for having scantily clad women? In the days of political correctness, which admittedly has gone too far, and especially equal rights there is more reason NOT to have sexily dressed women. And I bet there weren't any scantilly drssed male waiters for the female players. Like MrB said it does nothing for the image of poker and doesn't belong there. Posted by FlyingDagg
