In Response to Re: Sky Priority Freeroll : Thats interesting to hear, im surprised that a company in the sky stable doesnt have access to such packages at other prem clubs.

It does, it has access to many Premiership Corporate packages & boxes, & they are used throughout SB&G for Promotional work, prizes, etc.

They are all booked up a very long time in advance, & Sky Poker get their share, but it's simply not possible to give every winner the full choice.

In due course, a match at the Emirates will get offered as a prize, & then the Man Utd fans will get upset, I suppose.

Reading this thread makes me sigh.

If you don't want it, don't play.  With it being a school night I can't go so I won't be playing, however I don't feel personally aggrieved by this.  IMO whoever goes will have a good night out.

As a side point, loving the rose tinted nostalgia for the terraces at the football matches.  Yes if the ground was at 3/4 capacity it was a better atmosphere than the all-seaters but anymore than that it was a nightmare.  You stood crushed to various men of shapes, sizes and tattoos, always had your cuppa smacked out of your hand at some point, struggled to see the whole game and it wasn't exactly conducive to bringing ladies/kids.

Please DONT get me wrong tommy m8 , i agree the prize (and bein free) IS a great one , its just when ya say well IF ya dont like the prize then DONT play it surely means players like acegooner will need to exclude themselves from this freeroll , but surely this freeroll should be a carrot to dangle to ALL priority club members.
I stand by my 1st post that it should have been to a CLUB of the players choice xx

It's not the winning it's the taking part
    .
You can please all the people some of the time. Some of the people all the time. But you cannot please all the people all the time!

Oh to be a priority member to have these predicaments to dwell on!
Of course even if I had the bankroll I wouldn't join because I've yet to see a FREEROLL offering hospitality suites at a York City match!
Get A Grip you're on here to play poker! Make money and show off your Skills!
If you don't like the prizes Take down UKOPS instead!

I have ultimate respect for all who've posted on this thread I've railed most of you and know you're all very close to the very best top flight poker players,
Stop whingeing about freerolls and do what you do best take down the main events and make us poorer mortals proud!

    No offence meant

Only the best team in the Blue Square Premier League!
Well best might be a slight exaggeration but team is true!
Might I just add they hammered Man Utd in the cup at Old Trafford when Cantona was at his best!

Its not strictly true that priority club are high rollers, a lot of us are lower stakes grinders that put in the hours.

As for York City, I remember when they knocked Arsenal out the FA cup on a cold frosty pitch in the 80s !

    Quick poll.

Just been to a football match, popped into the pub after the game.  The landlord has decided to put some roast potatoes on the bar and a bowl of crisps on every table for free (based on a true story, gosh I miss the Prince Albert Pub, even with their awful karaoke).  So I try a crisp.  Darn it, cheese and onion, I hate cheese and onion.  I try a crisp from the neighbouring bowl, still cheese and onion.  They are all cheese and onion.

Here's the question, as landlord how would you react if I go up to the bar and ask why everyone isn't being asked if they like cheese and onion when they sit at a table, why people aren't asked what crisps they like when they sit at a table and that all crisp flavours should be available for the free bowls?

Although I DO think it is a decent prize on offer, your analogy can be presented in a different way.

Suppose last week you went to a bar and they had your favourite flavour of crisps at the tables (Cash for ACEGOONER lol) but this time you are dissapointed when you go to the bar as they have changed the crisps to your least favourite flavour, cheese and onion (Premier league tickets).

Now i'm not saying people should be annoyed/angry that the prize has been changed, but they do have the right to be dissapointed.

have you ever looked inside the mouth of a gift horse who has eaten crisps?

I'd only give the food at OT 2 out of 8 hehe.

Lets look at this another way,

1st prize An evening + Dinner & drinks with Davina McCall

2nd prize An evening + Dinner & drinks with Davina McCall

3rd prize An evening + Dinner & drinks with Davina McCall

I can't see TK getting too excited about this one!! I think he may self exclude lol.

There is no need to offer only c+o crisps, I filled out a questionnaire that asked which team I support, so sky have the data that shows many priority club members prefer other flavours to the c+o on offer!

Re gift horse in the mouth, try grinding for 10k points, if it were so easy everyone would be doing it.

Finally what I find odd with this months prizes is that with UKOPS fast approaching why were seats not offered as prizes, if sky's intention is to add value to the priority scheme surely this would have done exactly that. With all the talk re UKOPS on 865 and the forum i'm surprised no one thought of it.
