Just the competition just to get a place in the team will be worth watching. Whoever the 10 players will be to go to the APAT it will be packed with quality players. I'm sure you will get a load of support from everyone in the forum. "COME ON TEAM SKY !!!!!!!" Posted by COCASIRF

In Response to Re: Apat UK Team Championship 23/24 Jan2010 : well if we both get in gregg, we could travel up together as we only live a short distance from each other Posted by margatemaf
Obv there will be no info released yet but in what ball park is the prize money? May be interested. Posted by LadyFingrs
With 160 runners, the prizepool will be £8,000. This will then be split 50/50 between individual and team results.
APAT normally pays out top 20% for individuals (Top 16 players, 1st place should be approx £1,000) and will pay out Top 3 for team results (1st - £2000, 2nd - £1250, 3rd - £750), and obviously the all important trophy for the overall team winners.
The overall individual winner will also receive an APAT Gold Medal and the added value of a GUKPT seat. (Worth approx $3,000)
Last season, team points were scored for the top 50 players (50th - 1pt, 1st 50pts).
And as with all APAT live events, there is no registration fee and a buffet will be provided for all players on day one.
Payout structure is yet to be officially announced, but I hope this will give you a good idea.
I assume that from the posts above, when we find out if Sky will have a team then there will be qualifying private freerolls limited to those who have signed up in this thread. From those, FlashFlush is organising a league structure where the top 10 people qualify for the team.

Sky Bernie said he would organise this. Don't think it will be a freeroll though.

Seeing as though we will be representing Sky Poker, then why not. We are trying to find a team here not get any monetary gain out of it. Whether they want make it points to play or to make a nominal fee(to cover any costs) is allright by me, but i am talking about no more than 20p= £1 for the complete schedule. thereby allowing ALL bankroll levels to take part.

I agree Colin.
Take the finalised list of interested parties then drop them all into a private freeroll. Top 10 go. Seems simple to me!

Hi Dave, IMO just having one game to finalise the team is not the way to go.I like the idea of the 5 events with points for finishing positions. 1 point for first out up to to number of entrants for the winner. col

who is in charge of sorting this out? seems to be dragging on a bit now. Is there someone here who has the final say or is it a group thing where we all make a democratic decision?
