Hi guys, thanks to everyone who have shown interest in this tournament. We have applied to APAT to enter a Skypoker  team. There are a lot of teams wanting a place and we are just one of many.It should be very soon when APAT make the team announcement. So we just have to wait and see if we are in luck. Keep the names coming as we will have a cut off date for a possible playoff for the final ten team members.Sky Bernie said he can organise a five leg tournament for this when we have the final players list.
    Frank.

Stick my name into the hat, and Roboter too...
We've both qualified for Manchester SPT Leg, so don't fear the challenge! :D

    Hi guys,
Apat have just announced today that they will be announcing the teams for the UK team championship on Sunday 8/11/09.With a bit of luck we will be in this tournament. As it stands it will be a 16 team/10 player tournament, but because of team demand they may consider a 20 team/8 player option.

Just a thought as there are so many of you want to get involved, perhaps a non playing captain might be worth a thought a bit like the Ryder Cup, someone impartial who can see at the time who is running hot and who isn't?

    Hi All

Sorry i completely forgot about this!! LOL been really busy and totally sliped my mind. Like others have said until we actually know we are in this then no point choosing a team.

If you look on the APAT site this team event i think is designed for 'forums'. Now i dont know how the rest of you feel about this but some of the names put forward have less than 10 posts on this forum. I originally came up with this idea for us 'regulars' to get a team together and play WITH each other as opposed to against each other... Should there be an initial selection as to who can go into these freerolls (or what ever game is decided) or should anyone be able to play? You decide!!

Ill close this on the 8th (when the teams are chosen) as we already have far too many names in the hat than we need. If we get a place then ill send the names off to Bernie and try and get a series of games organised.

    hey flash flush.

if you get a full list of all the interested players by Monday AM and send it over (subject to APAT's decision) Sky Bernie will arrange a selection of private tournaments to find the Sky Poker Community's creme de la creme.

one big 'hurrah' to Sky Bernie for that!

     Thanks Rich

(all depending on whether we get a spot of course) do you know what the tourneys would be. Like others have said, as this is just for qualification to represent sky could they be freerolls? (with a decent structure).
