Looks like it will be a cracking finish in the golf today. Good luck to those in contention.

I've just had £5 on Martin Kaymer @ 12/1. Would be great timing for him to find his form again.

With the above bet, I received a free matched bet too of £5, which I've stuck on Manassero @ 14/1.

initial though behind backing Zach Johnson at East Lake gone slightly awry given that since he shot the course record, the next year theyve changed from Bentgrass to Bermuda greens.

So although I'll have a £5 tickler on Zach @ 33's, and the same on an in form Nick Watney (40/1) who acts well on the surface also, have decided to plump for Jim Furyk, solid on Bermuda and winning course form.

    FURYK £10 E/W 1ST ROUND 25/1
              £10 E/W OUTRIGHT 25/1

both tricky markets this week with so few runners but ill have a go as usual and hope for the best

30 runners ew 1/4 1st 4 means good value if we can get Mclroy and Woods beat as they are inflating everybody else's price. I've plumped for Donald 20's (though hate having my fancy tipped in the Post). Watson 33's and Simpson 45's.

changed mind again!!! ditched the e/w parts and went win only Furyk both markets £10 both 25/1, Watney win both markets £5 @ 40/1 and Dufner win outright £10 25/1. completely left out Zach, i can always go in and tickle him in play. Decided not to opt for the e/w so could add another 2 golfers to portfolio and dabble in 1st round market. So indecisive these days!!!!

£2.50 e/w on Furyk and Garcia both @25/1

Fury tilts the **** out of me but he just jumps off the page at me this week. Whenever I back Garcia, he usually does awfully, so the good news this week is that the worst he can do is 30th ! :D

I haven't found any good vibes for anyone this week, so I've been holding off my bets hoping to find a little inspiration on here, can't say I have lads!

I like Lee Westwood's chances but I don't like his odds of 16/1, I may have a saver on him, i'm going to stew on it for a little longer.

So since I've not been able to get excited about anyone else I'm sticking with my 'first picks' which are:

    Bo Van Pelt - 35/1
    Ryan Moore - 55/1

Backed them ew for outright and first round leader.

    Good Luck everyone!

I think Bubba is going to be up there Dart and 33/1 is pretty tasty. He seems to be a big game player these days, and you don't get much bigger than the tour championship!

Just checked Bubba's record in the tour championship, in a field of 30 it reads, 30th, DNP, tied 17th, tied 23rd.

I can see why he didn't make my shorltlist.

That said I was surprised to see his recent results have been better than I had realised (a little under the radar).

Final conclusion, I've always been easily lead, so on your advice Flash, I've has an ew tipple on Bubba at 33/1.

    I'll thank you later ;)

I haven't even looked at his form. He just seems to be 1 of those players recently. A bit like Louis Oostuizen. Always makes an appearance with good form in the big 1's... Lets see

After day one, I had decided to have a punt on Hunter Mahan if I could get 25/1 or more.

Very surprised he is available at 40/1 ew first 4 and I'm on!

Just 2 shots off the lead and his tee to green accuracy must have been amongst the best yesterday.

If he really is back with his A game, I think he's great ew value at this stage.

yeah nice return to form yesterday for him, though im still convinced after being plus 3 thru first 5 and pulling it back to par that DUFNER is the main man to challenge Tiger and having backed antepost at 25's im going back in @ 40/1 think **** go low at least 2 of the last 3 days, starting this evening. has been known to start slow and lets face it better starting that way and getting stronger than the other way around, which Id bet good money on what will happen to Rose in particular. Really rode his luck at times yesterday, and you can never keep that up. Expect Stricker to tail off as he tends to do, Rory probably stay solid enough and finish the day -2 or -3.

Well a decent 2nd day for my guys. Senden has got himself back to level with a lot of work to do over the weekend if he is to make top 4.

Bubba on the other hand is only 2 shots back but yesterday was a very flukey performance. He was scrambling a lot and getting lucky bounces, including putting in for a birdie from off the green. I am not overly confident Bubba will still be there after today, hopefully he has been working on some stuff and will be a bit more accurate today!

Yes Flash can't grumble (wouldn't anyway), at the tip for Bubba, after some indifferent play he is certainly well placed.

After bigging up Hunter Mahan and his 'A' game he got a big fat F on day 2.

On the other hand I'm pleased one of my 2 original picks Bo Van Pelt is along side Bubba on the leaderboard and playing together today could suit them both as they can both hit it miles.

I'll be happy with a top 4 finish from either of them.

    Good Luck all!

A tie might not be a bad shout. In the last 13 events it's 8-4 to Europe and 1 tie. Europe are not looking the best team this year with Westwood, Kaymer, Colsaerts, G-Mac not in the best of form. The same argument could be made for the US team, but with it on their home patch I think this could be very close, and 10/1 is pretty decent value. I doubt I'll actually put any bets on due to how badly I was at predicting the matchplay results earlier in the year
