It's quite simple - some players do not take "defeat" (it's hardly "defeat", the random turn of a card!) very well. Usually, they are the ones who chirp loudest when they win, too. Go figure. Just ignore it.
Publishing other players Sharkscope Stats is not permitted by Sharkscope (see their T & C's) or by Sky Poker. So if that happens, simply report them to Customer Care, & their Chat Privileges will be reviewed or removed.
Finally, you said.....
"....I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO GAIN THE HEAD OF ONE OF THE SO CALLED SELF CONFESSED SUPER TYPE PLAYERS...."
Well that's what Bounty Hunters are about. It's always a great feeling to get some heads.*
Note to Alan Maxally - don't even THINK about a "FYP".
hi tikay iam new to sky poker ive played a bit before and i watch syk poker religiously i wa sjust woundering what do u think a good starting level for me would be on the cash tables Posted by gerrygurdl
Hi Gerry,
It depends upon your "bankroll", or more correctly, how much you are prepared to risk losing, say, per week, or month. ALWAYS assume that you MIGHT lose the lot. Because you might - even the world's best players have losing runs from time to time - that's called "luck", or "variance".
If you let me know that, I'm sure we could get a bunch of good suggestions as to what Levels you should play at.
hi tkay i asked you previously if this site was rigged 2 which you assired me it wasnt this will be the last time i annoy you but im tired of losing on your sit n go tables when i have a monster hand dont no why some home the big stack continuoesly wins heres a hand 4 you yet again i lose with kk might aswel bin aa would lose 2 72 i feel i lost 2 a q not his fault 4 calling but why is this happening so reguley 297549800 2010-10-11 21:42:12 2890.00 K K Q 6 Q 8 4 1345.00 sirklk06 won 2890.00 with a Three Queens last tourny i was busted by a big bluffer who hit a j on the flop n only had a pair ofjj i had pocket qq again he was big stacked and following a huge raise i put him all inn he calls and what happens another j y yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy it cant seriousley be randomness because if it was i must be so unlucky i should already be dead i no sum1 who plays this game 4 a living and his opion is im just jinxed how you supposed 2 win when your dominating hands persistantly lose Posted by jolene1000
Hi jolene,
In addition to the reply by "Beloved", all I would add is that the problem you allude to is nothing to do with Sky Poker, it's to do with "poker", or how we, & you, play it.
Poker is the same the world over, both Live, & Online. It inflicts horrid beats, & undeserved wins on us, whoever we are. We need to deal with both the same, because we only have limited control over it.
The way we react to "bad beats" is actually a grand yardstick as to our mettle & backbone both in poker, & life. We all need to face a little wind in our face sometimes. It's how we deal with it that sorts the wheat from the chaff.
why have your own tourny and not join it 3 times i have joined and no sign of you how can we improve our game if the best dont show up,regards suzie Posted by susie2pink
Hi Susie - or is it "Suzie", I'm, a bit confused, you use both!
Your question is a very good one, is quite correct & fair, & I apologise.
I play as many of "my" Tourneys as I'm able, & until the last few weeks, I would think I've played in 99% of them. However, I've been increasingly busy on other (mainly Sky-Poker related) stuff the last few weeks, as a result of which I've missed a good few.
I need to explain this a little more, because you make a very fair point.
I have a considerable workload at Sky Poker, included in which is one night of PTP every week, for which I receive a small fee. Any other time I spend on the Site is unpaid (quite rightly).
We introduced a "tikay Sleepstack" every Wednesday a year or two ago, & I played in just about every one until last month.
A "Take on Tikay" was also introduced, the structure for which I designed myself, as I wanted a Tourney with a "playable" structure & clock, which rewarded traditional poker play.
I wanted these TOTTY's to be available to ALL players, not just those with deep pockets, so we introduced three of them, at £2.20, £5.50, & £11. So that was Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday taken care of. (None of which were my PTP nights at the time).
Then a TOTTY Rebuy was introduced, every Friday.
So now, I was sort of committed to playing on Sky Poker every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday. Which is fine by me, I love it.
In addition, I do at least one Show on Channel 865 every week, & one night of PTP every week.
Outside of that, I have another Forum elsewhere where I have an obligation to spend a little time, my responsibilities as Chairman of APAT, and I have become involved at Committee level on a couple of poker-based Charities, the meetings for which are held in the Evenings.
I do some other stuff for Sky Poker, too, as I did last night, at a big function in West London, which was both stressful & successful.
The last few days have also been a bit hectic at Sky Poker, with the introduction of TSP, & all the background work associated with that, & a bit of bad blood, too, some of which falls to me to try to mediate.
And sometimes, I just need a night off, as I get a little tired when the workload keeps coming. I'm not a young man, to be fair, I'm, north of my mid-forties.
I also like to try & play some Live Poker at least once a week - that's my pension, if you like, & I make a little money doing do - and now & then, I need some time to myself, to allow young ladies to indulge themselves of my company, to go aeroplane & train spotting, & other exciting things like that. In fact, I have a date this afternoon - a young lady has invited me to go out for a meal. At a Pie & Mash shop in Hoxton. I know, you could not make it up, could you, but it's true.
So, I cannot get this quart pot of responsibilities to fit into my pint pot of available time.
How to resolve all this? Well I intend to try to continue to play as many of the TOTTY's as time & my Diary permits, but I just cannot guarantee to be available for 4 nights a week, though I will ALWAYS be on site on my paid PTP nights, of course.
So, I think I will speak to the Suits & get them to change the name of the "Take on tikay" & "tikay Sleepstack" Tourneys, because I do agree with you, it's unfair that you think I play all of them, when I clearly can no longer do so.
Again, my apologies for inadvertently misleading you.

Hi
Click on My Account, top left hand corner, and they are under Free Stuff
Just watched the re run of the bounty hunter tournament and a hand came up where the guy put in a squeeze play with 3 7 which got called with 9 10 suited. In the time youve played live at casinos have you ever seen a call like that made in the early stages of a tournament or is it just online that these calls are made.

Amazingly. Mr Red, yes, I have, & not only that, I was involved in a squeeze play in Luton last week with those TWO exact holdings. I squeezed with 3-7, & got looked up by 9-10. That was in Level 4 of a ONE HUNDRED POUND Tourney.
The next night, again at Luton, in a £50 Freezeout, the calling stations were out in force again, (I feel so sorry for them in some ways - how many times do they need telling that serial limping is the road to busto-ville?) the Blinds were 200-400, & on my button, there were SEVEN limpers.
So I picked up a stack of chips - never counted them, just a big chunk - & pushed them across the line - RAISE.
The SB, a most proficient player, older than me, who has appeared on Late Night Poker several times, & earns a living playing £50 & £100 Tourneys in Luton - re-shoved all-in. Whoops, I've been rumbled.
"Count, please" I ask the Dealer.
Dealer counts her all-in - it's 5,700. My Raise was 5,000. And there was about 3,300 in there already. So, I have to call 700 to win about 14,000. Sigh, I call.
I turn over my J-6, & mutter something about wrong glasses. She turns over......
5-2.
There's a zillion ways to play poker, Mr Red, & "the kidz" think they know them all. They don't, though.
In Response to Re: Ask Tikay? : ty ace but it does not tell how many free roll chips there anymore just has £0.00 for some unknowen reason. Posted by silver8ack
Hi silver
I think it maybe an idea to contact Customer Care to see if they can shed some light on it.
will u look at this hand plz 0298551704 Posted by craig695
Unfortunately Tikay is unable to look at individual hands. If you need advise on a hand can I suggest posting the hand in the The Poker Clinic section. Advise on how to post a hand is here
How much coverage will the Team Sky Poker thingy be getting on Channel 865? Will it be like once a month at the end of Mastercash, much like Total Player?
I am a technophobe whn it comes to working out which forum to go to so i hope i am in the right place.
Playing in the £11 pound re buy tonight and played opposite the lovely LML.
Would you let her know that I went card dead for ages and my chips whittled back to 12000 (8 BB) so UDG i shoved with 10: 10 and got insta called with QQ and went out around 74th.
I am looking after a friends house for the summer. He is the sort of guy who is high in the music world and always doing stuff for others and putting his hand in his pocket. Would Lisa be so kind as to give him a shout out please
to: Dan "Peter Pan" Prince and his dogs Tinker and Lovejoy and please suggest his gae is very good but will go up a notch or 2 if he learns a little more patience..
PS I am sory for taking you down Lisa but you were most definitely the best looking presenter at our table :-)
Thank you Kindly.
Thank you kindly and please let me know what night so i can record it

Just change the name to "Tikay's Tournies".
That does not have the same implication that you will be there as "Take on Tikay",but still has your association with the format.
