    Oooh!

No, in fact, I never did - I clean forgot.

If you direct me to what Thread it was on, I'll be happy to continue with my "discrete" reply. I was enjoying that Thread, but I do get a bit busy & forget things.

I'll not be able to reply until Monday though, as I'm at SPT all day tomorrow, & through to the early hours of Sunday, then I gotta drive down to London, groan.

An "Ask tikay" Thread? I suppose I should not say this, but I'd actually love that, as long as it was not restricted solely to Poker, & could be about anything.

    One poker related question

$5r on stars, rebuy period is over, eff stacks with villain are ~15k @ 200/400/25

Folds to CO, who has been limping around 80% IP (HJ, CO and btn), who limps, btn (who's just joined the table) limps, I raise Ad4c, BB, CO fold, btn calls.

    (t5025) FLOP: QsJs3c

    Hero Bets: 3600
    Villain: calls

    (t12225) TURN: Ks

    Hero: Bets ~9600 (all in)

    Thoughts?

    Your play?

I like it, but wr have to get our read right here, or we are toast.

I don't like it. He's even money to have a spade, & if he does - any spade - he calls. We are putting our Tourney on A-4 OOP.

Surely, playing the best part of 40 x BB, we can find a better spot than this?

As to Villain, I find these Stations incredibly tough to play against. Was he limping to hope he hit (a "Bingo Limper"), or with a plan to bet out if weakness was shown? I do the latter a lot, & playing as deep as he was, it's fine to do, it's very effective, & awkward to combat.

I'd not get involved here, & hope either you or he gets a Table move. ;)

If he Limps beyond this Level though, his chips are on offer, & he can't Final unless he gets very lucky.

Overall, I wanna find a better spot than this.

It seems that the standard line with spades for him would be to shove the flop, stack sizes are like perfect for it.

And, I think that I can rep a flush Q's + FD, Kings, Kings + FD, so he folds J's /w no spade, and like Jx 6s-9s some % of the time?

Idk, I don't think theres any hands that call the flop that have no pair + 1 spade.

    idk, just felt slightly spewy.

Remind me - next week - to tell you about the fracas that arose at The Broadway this weekend, when they offered a £100,000 Guarantee for a £1,000 Tourney. And about 60 players turned up......

I think that Tikay was hoping for less poker oriented questions.

Odds calculators ftw, try hendon mob or d/l pokerstove

Idk, so like Th9h on a 8h7x2h board vs like 8xXx (x = any non heart)

Off the top of my head
    9 Hearts
    6 Straight outs

I've been Offline for most of the last 3 days, but I'll pick up this Thread later today, once I've cleared my backlog of "stuff".

    PS - Message to Dingdell.

No - Poker Questions are absolutely fine, & anyone can answer them, not just me, it's be a good debating Thread in that respect, but I would like it to be wider than poker, if possible.

However, questions such as "what is the price of Haddock?" will be dealt with politely, patiently, & with understanding & tolerance,
