Hi all, was at Blackpool Saturday to support Rochdale Mafia, played in a S&G and £30 tourney later, wasn't impressed by the organisation, service was bad , no dirty glasses collected, 8pm tourney was a shambles, we didn't know what was going on most of the time, moved tables, we had been playing 3K/6K, they were playing 4/8 and, nothing to do with poker, had bar snacks later that were absolutely rubbish, got our money back!! veggie burger didn't have a burger in it and my steak pie was like eating concrete.

Why the **** would someone call a £4.80 raise preflop with 83 on a 20/40p table
this happened to me today . the flop then came with two 8's very very dodgy indeed
i'm getting really suspicious about this site as it always seems to pay off the same old players .it really is getting beyond a joke .dont get me wrong im not doing too bad myself . but some of the hands really are rediculous and its always the same old players that seem to get them . why is this

I was wondering how I and some others played played a specific round. I can't remember the hand number, but it was an omaha cash game which went up to a massive pot which I won. It was played about 1-2 hours ago. Thanks.

hi, just a little advice needed,

when i am playing and i have the best hand after the flop,

i try to get the most money i can out of the other players without scaring them off,

when it comes to the river card it seemd as if i am losing the hand on this card all the time,

is this just luck on there part or should i be playing it differently.

    Hi Tikay,

Recently i have been on the recieving end of some awful beats (in my opinion) could you tell me what if anything i am doing wrong. I am getting really miffed about the beats i am getting as i feel my game is not as bad as sharkscope would suggest.

    Sample hands

    Hand History #303506673 (20:48 31/10/2010)Hand History #304479114 (23:18 03/11/2010)

    Hand History #302548380 (22:05 28/10/2010)

in each of the hands i had less chips than my opponent and in my opinion was on the recieving end of  a bad beat.
Could you please give me your honest opinion of my play during these hands as i am starting to believe the conspiricy theories about this site, in live play i play in much the same way in both casino's and local pubs and am up over the year, yet on here i am well down.

    opinion please mate

Can I ask what I should've done in this situation? I had the str8 draw obviously, and when he re-raised I put him on a FH after the paired card hit.

Personally i'd have put a bigger raise in preflop to get any speculative callers off the hand, when you checked on the flop I guess he thought his second pair was good so when you reraised they thought you were trying to steal it.  Once all the chips went in they just got lucky.
