I don't really know the rules on this, & I don't have the remit or authority to comment on it either way, so I must defer to CC in this matter, though I'm slightly surprised at their reply, & in your spot, I'd suggest pushing back at them once more. Don't say I told you too, though.
What I can say, with 100% confidence, that in LIVE Poker (say, an SPT Event) husband & wife are 100% free to play in the same event.
We have many married couples playing the SPT Events, also brothers, father & sons, etc. At the Grand Final, Sue Norsden, (aka KidgirlGy, our Vegas heroine), husband Dave, & their son, all played. In Live poker, everyone can see everyone, so the transparency is total, & if they happen to end up on the same table, the rest of the table can see what's what.
In the interim, I really hope you both qualify for Newcastle, even if you have to qualify in separate Qualifiers.

Hi tikay
If memory serves, this has been covered before, I beleive that because varience is so big in MTT,s, it is possible for for two people from the same ISP to play, even on the same table, just canrt remember where it was

Hi Acebarry when we first started to play poker as husband and wife and as novices we mainly played on the sit and go tables as it was fun trying to outplay each other but we received an E mail from sky saying that it was against their rules and could we stop but we were still allowed to play a mmt together , I don't know if the ruling has changed since then but according to Gemma (see thread above) two people with the same IP address cannot play in the same tournament which will invalidate a lot of people on sky poker me thinks

Hi
You are quite right the thing is varience is so different in a SNG, than it is in a MTT which is why I beleive that a couple can play in a MTT, and not an SNG
Tikay, I have been playing on Sky Poker for about 6 months now. I have been playing 6 seated Double Your Money generally, £11, £16.50 or £22 levels, but have done a couple of Bounty Hunters (won 1 and came 12th in the other out of 80 odd people so quite happy). I am showing a profit over these months (nothing to retire on but a profit is a profit) and want to raise my game. Can you suggest any good books to read about the theory and ways to improve my game. I have played some cash tables as well. Done OK but am trying to build my accout balance up before I get too involved in them. Thanks, TERRA295 Posted by TERRA295
Tikay, Thanks for your response and the good advice. Am constantly watching SKY 865 and have improved my game already by watching and listening. Keep up the good work and the rest of the team. TERRA295

Hi JONONZIE, my partner and I play in the same mtts every now and then from the same ip address. Many times I have shared a table with other well known couples on sky in both large and smaller mtts. The last time we played in the same mtt was last week so maybe the rules have changed since then? If they didn't want 2 people from the same ip address in an mtt surely if one was registered the other one would not be able to?
I have already suggested that Jononzie "pushes back" to Customer Care to clarify the position.
It is not a matter I can comment upon really, nor is it something that can be dealt with via the Community, it's a Customer Care matter, but if anyone wishes to PM me with concerns such as you raise, I'll gladly raise it with Head Office for you, or them.
The Rules are there for a reason, but they differ as to Cash games, SNG's, & MTT's, so the confusion is not without good reason.
Take care now, & I hope you & yours are well, & in good heart.
Hi Tikay, I asked a question on page 122 of this thread but cannot find a reply for it. Can you have a look and see please. Thanks Steve (the one with all the dogs) Posted by bigbiker22
Hi big man,
I'm working to get this Thread fully up to date by the end of this week, & that includes your question, so bear with me please, & apologies for the delay.

Hi madmoo thanks for your input the wife and I have played many MTTs together just freerolls or £2.30 bounty hunters and sometimes ended up on the same table without any problems, it was when I asked the customer care team if we could play in the same satellite into the SPT that we were told that we cant enter any online MTT together, I think that sometime ago when we played on another site the software did not allow us to register for the same tournament so it was easy to know if you were allowed to play together or not but sky do not seem to have this facility so rely on the players honesty, that's if they realise in the first place, so am now a bit upset that I cant play with the wife anymore (at poker )wish I hadn't asked now ignorance is bliss lol
I have just played a sit and go with Magicalman. He is a sky team player. Halfway through the game there was an all in followed by two callers one of callers who called 3rd had 88. After the hand finished. magicalman wrote on the chatbox that the caller with 88 should not have called and was a moron.
Although I agree the call was not the best I think it is very disrespectful for another player to call him a moron, especially when the player is meant to be representing Sky.I think his comments are very bad and also reflect badly on the site

Welcome to our Community, Mr BG.
I agree entirely, that it's most disrespectful to call any other player a "moron", no matter what the circumstances, & I'd like to think that no decent player would resort to such childish & rude comments.
The player you mention, however, is most certainly not a "Sky Team" player. With the exception of Lisa-Marie Long, all of the Team Sky Poker players are up in Blackpool today, playing Live, at the GUKPT.
If you are unhappy with the conduct of ANY player, you should report them to Customer Care. We want Sky Poker to be a place where players can enjoy their poker free of such puerile nonsense.
