Hi Tikay, watched the live stream to leeds on Sat, well done to all. I was just wondering whats the score for railing and playing in side events at the SPT'S, although live in weston I fancy a couple of days in Cardiff. Is it okay to pop along evening times and join in side events and rail final stages of main event, that is of course if I'm not lucky enough to satellite in!1RegardsCeltbhoy

Yes, you can just come along to rail friends or play in the side games, SnGs or just meet up with Sky Poker players and 'celebs'. I and a few friends from Sky Poker have gone along and not played the main event.
Check the Sky Poker Tour section of the forum as there may be certain dress code restrictions and ID needed to get into the casino.
Just a note to thank you for taking the time to find my question and give me your response of which I will take note and bear in mind for the future. I enjoy listening to you on television and thanks also for the entertainment you have given me these past months.
yeah i have A question why is this site so fixed? ok your going to say it is not but I believe it is. So please don't reply saying it isn't. you have been playing poker for a long time and can you honestly with your hand on your heart say this and all on line poker sites are not fixed. I have played on this site for a while now and have seen so many dodgy hands it's so unreal. the hands that i have seen win would almost never in a live game happen and when you said in the sky poker lesson 2 that flush's are rare when in actual fact they come along so often they are more popluar than a straights. Ok so if the site is not fixed then each hand is already decided before it is even played, and when you get close to the bubble on the bounty hunters and other tournaments, you should never go all in especially when you have AK AQ or AJ because you will almost never win. So that is what i think and a lot of other people to, just read it in the community.

Good morning.
Firstly, many congrats on winning the 471 runner Freerolll on May 9th, fine result, that.
Now, to your question....
".....why is this site so fixed? ok your going to say it is not but I believe it is. So please don't reply saying it isn't....."
You have asked me a question, told me what my answer will be, then told me not to answer it. This has not begun well.
"...you have been playing poker for a long time and can you honestly with your hand on your heart say this and all on line poker sites are not fixed...."
Yes, I can say with my hand on my heart that this poker site is not "fixed", at least, I have no evidence whatsoever to even suspect it is, no reason to think it is, & no understanding of what the motive to "fix it" might possibly be, & I have yet to see one credible piece of evidence to suggest it is. Complaints to the contrary usually emenate from losing players. Therefore, thinking logically, no, I don't think it is fixed. Poker is not a game against the house, it is a player v player game.
Can you provide me with some credible evidence of malpractice at Sky Poker, please?
I cannot speak for other Online Poker Sites, & I don't really care what they do or don't do, that has nothing to do with Sky Poker. I have played on almost every Online poker site since the day Online poker was first invented, & have never once seen any credible evidence that any RNG was "fixed". I have seen the "superuser" affair at UB, some dubious stuff with one or two "skins" (Sky Poker is not a skin), & the recent payment processor scandal in the United States of America which 3 major US-facing sites (Sky Poker is not a US facing site) were implicated in. I've not seen one example of hands being "fixed", though, & in that time, many billions of hands have been dealt, & played. You'd think by now that someone may have spotted something if anything was amiss, no?
"....the hands that i have seen win would almost never in a live game happen....."
Do you have any evidence as to that? How much Live Poker have you played? What is "almost"? On what basis would these hands not win in Live Poker?
Please give me some examples of the hands you have seen that would not happen in Live Poker.
you said in the sky poker lesson 2 that flush's are rare when in actual fact they come along so often they are more popluar than a straights.
I don't believe I said any such thing. "Popular" means "liked, appreciated", so I suppose they could be more "popular" as they usually win, but I never said that. If we start with 2 of a suit, we will, on average, make our flush by the river 7% of the time - roughly 1 in 15. However, if we start with 2 live cards, we will pair one of them by the river nearly 50% of the time. So, in that instance, a flush is "relatively rare" - being only one seventh as likely as hitting one of our hole cards on the Board.
Can you please privide me with some evidence that flushes are more popular than straights on Sky Poker?
"Ok so if the site is not fixed....."
Good - we are making progress!
"....each hand is already decided before it is even played....."
How does that work in Live Poker, which you seem to use as your yardstick? Well, the cards are shuffled, & that's it - the cards that will appear are pre-determined. Always. But here's the thing - the dealer, & the cards he/she deals, have no idea what the players will or will not do. So the cards are pre-determined, but not the outcome. Online, there are two ways that cards are "virtually" shuffled, depending what Site you play on - once, & once only, before the hand, or, alternatively, before each street is dealt. In both cases, the board cards could be described as "pre-determined". None of which can predict what the players might do, how well or badly they will play their hand, of whether they have the best hand, but someone bluffs them off it with a worse hand. Poker is NOT about the cards that are dealt, not at all - it's about making other players fold wininng hands, or call with losing hands.
In theory, deal me bad cards, you can have good cards, but I can still beat you at poker.....
"....never go all in especially when you have AK AQ or AJ because you will almost never win....."
"almost never win"? I do not believe that is true, unless we play them badly. I believe they "quite often" win. Can you provide me with some credible evidence to suggest otherwise?
Sharkscope tells me that you have had a bad few days on Sky Poker, & I'm sorry to hear that, but just because you have run bad, or played bad, does not mean you have any right to suggest the Site is in some way acting improperly. Poker is a brutal game, but it provides highs & lows - a week ago you beat 470 players here, since then you have run or played bad. It's how poker works.
Finally, I've answered your questions with some care, now answer a question of mine, please.
If I called you a cheat, or dishonest, when you were not (& I am quite sure you are not) would you like that?
Take care now, & I hope you run good, wherever you play.
I won an entry to the TSP classic on Thursday but i am not sure what happens with this. Do i just sit back and it will be added or do i need to chase it up with yourself or James
Good evening sir I won an entry to the TSP classic on Thursday but i am not sure what happens with this. Do i just sit back and it will be added or do i need to chase it up with yourself or James Many thanks for your time Roy Posted by jesusdog22
Hi Roy,
A whole batch of e-Mails went back & forth between James & I about this, & I've not heard any more from him, even though I tried to ring him about it on Sunday.
James awarded TWO TSP classic entries, one went to GaryQQQ who elected to play on Wednesday (17th May), but I asked him to await what date you wanted first, so I could arrange both free entries at the same time. He said he had yet to hear from you, if I recall correctly. (which is a 50/50 shot....)
So, to short-circuit this, just let me know on this Thread when you wish to play, & I'll sort it.
Please try to respond before Noon on Wednesday, so that I only have to write once to Head Office, as the system whereby I organise Free Entries is admin-heavy.

Nice one Mike, be great to see you again, it's been too long, I hope Kelly comes down, too.
My favourite Hotel in Cardiff is the Future Inn, right by the Grosvenor Casino, but that's 3 or 4 miles from Les Croupiers, so off the top of my head, no, sorry.
