Yo Rawhide. (Move 'em in, move 'em out). Sky Rich will move it when he's doing his rounds mate. He claims to be "a bit busy" today. Can't think why...... PS - For 5 House Points, anyone know who sang the Title song to Rawhide? (Rawhide was a Western TV Show in the early 90's, or slightly earlier).

It was Frankie Laine though I'm far to young to remember ;-)

And before anyone starts, or the Mods get on my case, yes, "Muffin the Mule" was a real TV Show. Not to be missed, gripping stuff.

It was Presented by Annette Mills, who was John Mills sister, & they were related to Hayley Mills.

Awesome stuff, I could go on about these things all day.

Hello - is anyone there? Hello? HELLO?

You forgot Robin Hood (the Richard Green version) after tea on Sundays.

Then if your parents were really sadistic it was an hour of Sing Something Simple on the wireless before the Billy Cotton Band Show on the telly.

And in the days before political madness, sorry correctness, ............. The Black and White Minstrel Show.

    Ooh yes, I forget those!

Robin Hood - excellent TV. De da dedada de da deda.

Sing Something Simple, on the Light Programme. Kill me now.

    Billy Cotton - wakey waaaaaaaaaaakey!

Black & White Minstrels. Amazing. 20 white geezers dressed up as black geezers in white suits. I never really understood the PC thing about that.

Later - much later, I think, "Tales of the Unexpected" by Mr Dahl arrived.

Rawhand & Poker Party are both correct - it was indeed Frankie Lane.

Big star was Frankie Lane, but times change, & he's a million miles from the current generation of pop stars, such as "Frankie Goes to Hollywood".

Why in MTT Deep Stack Saturday night and any other time do all Top Table players not get paid, a POINTS prize of 4 points is miserly and almost insulting, yes I finished 4th and was dissapointed,

I believe this is the third time you have asked this question on 3 different threads, and the answer is STILL the same, the payouts are based on the number of people who enter the competition.  The only exception to this rule is, I believe, the £22 deepstack at 7.30 each night when a minimum of 6 players are paid.

Hope this finally puts this question to bed.

    Hi Carly,

    Ugh!

It's pretty much a "cooler" - you must NEVER pass in that spot, just accept it as a cooler. If you consider EVER Passing there, you'll be leaving "value" behind in the long term.

So, the answer to your question is - NO!

Hi Tikay, i would like to ask if there is a knack to be able to multi table. I found last night on tko11 hard to keep up with. I found myself consentrating more on the first event rather than the second and made very bad plays etc and went out early. Once i was out I seemed to do better in the first and although not cashing went out to a river card when well in front. Was it the blinds going up so quick, the fast pace of the games?. Our my lack of brain power, lol. Could it be that the two events were different with really more attentiom needed to  the omaha which made it harder for me?. Any help would bw appreciated, Thanks, John

    Good question Bowie.

Multi-Tabling is interesting. Above 2 or 3 Tables, it's hard to see where the fun is, but the big boys do it all the time. But unlike you & me, & most others, they don't play for fun, do they?

There is no argument - no credible argument - that says you play as well when you Multi-Table, either. But for those who get bored  one-Tabling (lol, just lol!), if it eases the boredom, & thus stops you playing daft hands, then it makes sense I guess.

    However....

Multi Tabling mixed games - Omaha & Hold Em for example - is NOT to be recommended, unless it's a "fun freeroll" like last night. The two games are totally different, with wholly different starting hand requirements, & I don't believe it's either sensible or optimal to try it for "real money". In Omaha, you MUST think much, much, harder, it's an altogether more complex - & rewarding - game. But mixing it with Hold Em does not work for me, or almost anyone I know.

If you decide to 2-Table Hold Em or Omaha (but not at the same time) don't even TRY to chat in the Chat-Box, the Tables pop up & down, & it's just not possible to play your A-Game when so doing.

If you don't have to chat, then it's very do-able. If you have to, or want to, chat, then it becomes extremely stressful, & not conducive to playing well.

    Mr Kendall,

I wonder if you can answer my question about the SPT?  Is it worth coming along even if you have not qualified? Never played live and wonder if this is a good place to learn and everyone I "chat" to say how much they enjoy the experience?

    Many thanks

    Ross

Mr Kendall? Only my golfing freinds call me that! (Golf Etiquette requires Captains or Past Captains to be so addressed).

The answer to your question is YES YES YES.

I would not do you wrong here - come along to an SPT, & I GUARANTEE you will not regret it. The banter is massive, you get to meet all these "aliases" you only see Online, there are side games, SNG's, Fun SNG's, da de da. The whole day is immense fun, & anyone who has been to one of these will confirm that.

Please - come along - you will not regret it, & I'll make sure you are all right.

    Where do you live?
