In Response to Re: Ask Tikay? : Hi recky, Well that's not a good start, is it?! I've no idea what the problem may be, or whether it be your end, Sky Poker's end, or in-between. I don't have the authority or position to resolve these things, but I will try to help you. Really, your problem is something for Customer Care to deal with. However, I am going to Post the problem on the "Technical Queries" Board, to see if we can get a Techie to answer it for you. Whatever the cause, I'm sorry that your first experience at Sky Poker has been unsatisfactory. Hopefully, we can get it sorted quickly, such that you can share in the fun we have here. EDIT - I have now Posted the prob on Technical Queries - it is HERE

    Hi Recky,

Welcome to Sky Poker, i'm sorry you've had such a bad 1st experience but i can assure you we'll do all we can to get your problems fixed.

i've replied to Tikay's thread in the technical area raised on your behalf, here's a copy of my comments below.

C/care are always the best option and first point of call, but i'll happily do my best to help you here too, i'll reply on the Ask Tikay thread too:

The 1st question i'd ask is can you load a table at all, if so how often and how long does it take to launch?

Simple test is to go to the cash table lobby, highlight any table and launch it. You don't need to actually sit down, this makes no difference at all to loading the table.

now close the table and repeat the above 5 or 6 times - how many times does it load succesfully and roughly what is the average load time in seconds (time taken from clicking 'launch table' until the moment you can view the whole table I.E. see player's avatars and action taking place)

From here we'll have a base point to try and debug your problem.

    Best Wishes

    Adam

    Hi Adam,

While you on, I wonder if you can sort out a technical problem for me as well.     Every time I launch a table..... I lose

Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

hi, im new to sky. i have been all in on 10 occasions. 3 times in cash and 7 times in tourneys. each time the stack size on my behalf and my opponents has been healthy. in other words it has not been desperate play. my grumble is that, out of those 10 times i have been ahead (well ahead) all the way up to the turn, and then guess what? yep youve got it, out drawn! 8 TIMES out of 10! without going into the hands too much this seems very high and unusual.

I don't quite understand what your point is staford?

I don't think I've ever seen anything more perfectly suited to the description "that's poker"

In terms of constructive criticism, I'd say sit down with a full buy in, play more hands, and play more in position.

That only tells me one thing and that is its dangerous to go all in often as you will be outdrawn more often than not

Raggy Aces Tikay....What's your view on playing them?

Usually I tend to avoid them like the plague (A2 to A8). I will play A9 & upwards very aggressively dependant on position, how deep I am in the tourney and my opponents general play - mixing it up a bit I suppose.

I am past been surprised by some players willingness to go all in these rag aces. The question is......

Is there a case (apart maybe being very short stacked) for doing this?

Would (have) you ever play(ed) these cards and when?

In Response to Re: Ask Tikay? : Well thank you. But if you were referring to "murmuration", I was not using it in it's conventional sense, there is a far more beautiful meaning to it! A tad tricky to weave that into convo down the pub...... The photo below, taken near Brighton Pier, refers. (Click to enlarge photo).
