There will be TWO MORE Viva Las Vegas Finals Rossy, one for April, one for May.
Qualification for the April Finals started today, & the first Quarter-Final is tonight, at 9pm. That will feed into Sunday's Semi-Final, & that, in turn, to the Final on May 2nd.
In Response to Re: Ask Tikay? : Tikay is having his afternoon nap Ross but the answer is TWO more finals. The next one is on 2 May and sats are already up and running. Hope this webbys....err, I mean helps Posted by MAXALLY
Hi,Tikay. I have only just started playing on sky poker today on your website and qualified for the 6k on thursday night and the primo qualifier tonight, and I'm absolutly chuff but don't hold my breath to go much further. I started last year in my local and started really well and even won the final in my second season(don't know how) but after advice from sue who is a very good player, she told me to watch sky poker and learn the do's and don'ts and it has been really educational ! but the trouble is I got to many thoughts inside my head now and my poker have suffered badly in the real world, but on the computer I feel a lot more steady. Have you any advice ? cheers Ady59
Tikay when can we expect 'part 3' of your fantastic blog. Stop keeping us in suspense!
Oh I'm sorry I didn't make Nottingham on Saturday, I went to the casino the night before (Broadway in Birmingham - ever been?) and didn't get to bed until 8am. .....
Good morning Mr K sir. I hope you are well and that your trip up to Nottingham at the weekend was a profitable one.
I don't know whether you have been selected to accompany our team out to Vegas this year as yet but based on your previous visits the following thoughts did cross my mind.
Being a man of means (alledgedly)and being a poker afficionado for a number of years haven't you ever fancied taking a crack at any of the WSOP tournements?
Well known as you are for chasing choo-choo's all over the place and taking an interest in other architectural/mechanical wonders, I'm sure that you may have the odd hour or two spare out there to indulge in a little poker playing of your own. Ed Giddings mentioned the other night that when he's out there he tends to play the Sit 'n' Go's, the quality of the opposition being fairly loose and therefore a fairly profitable venture. Do you tend to follow his example, play cash or, shock and horror....not play at all?
I had to look that up Jim. I think earthworms exhibit metamery. Wikipidea describes it thusly.....
Metamery in animals is defined as a mesodermal event resulting in serial repetition of unit subdivisions of ectoderm and mesoderm products[1]. Endoderm is not involved in metamery. It should be noted that segmentation is not the same concept as metamerism. Segmentation can be confined only to ectodermally derived tissue, e.g., in the Cestoda tapeworms. Metamerism is far more important biologically since it results in metameres, also called somites, that play a critical role in advanced locomotion.
Quite so.....
On the other hand, if you meant "murmuration", which I mentioned recently, then I know that one inside out. A "murmuration" is the collective term for starlings, when they form those beautiful swoopy patterns in the sky whilst flying in large groups. For some reason, the best murmurations in the UK are usually visible above Brighton Pier in January & February.

Maybe, maybe not....;) I well remember "youngster".
I well remember that SPT, too - I wrote a bit of a blog about it.
Just watched the re run of the vegas final and what an awesome display of poker. Congrats to both qualifiers and how much do I want to be involved in that type of game. I just wanted to let you know I was playing a heads up tourney earlier and hit a royal flush, not a hand you get everyday. I have managed to get three since starting playing poker in January 2009 and seen my opponents between them get 4 at my table. How many of these are you likely to see in a normal year of playing ? Oh by the way I got put out that tournament with pocket aces lost to a full house thats poker.
hello mr tikay . answer me this question . i have had AA on 4 occassions and lost everytime in a big way. i'll give you an example i had AA the bloke had A4 suited and he goes all in so i have to follow and what happens, the flop turns 4 5 4 so he has 3 of a kind and knocks me out of tournement.was he lucky or am i been unlucky.but when it happens on 4 occassions to me, i am been harshly kicked in the crowns and all pairs are evil of the highest and is there a smart way to play them. yours barry taylor aka taylor1972
I'm sure you explained this to me in a previous TKO, but what is extreme poker?

P.S. Just saw a repeat of "The League". It is nice to know that Sky Poker devotes some air time to educating the public on the writer of Shakespeare's works.
im new on here and this is probably a stupid question but how does the earn cash for points work? there are 2 different types of points on the 'my account' and i dont know which it refers to when it says 500 points. thanks for any help

It's not a stupid question at all. Lots of people get confused by this. The points that count towards your "cash for points" are the "Current Month Poker Points". Remember to enter "POINTS" in the Freebet section before the end of the month to qualify for the bonus. Once you have entered it there is no need to re-enter it each month. See here for more details.

Be there!
I will reply to the remaining questions on here tomorrow, I've been offline for a few days, I'm doing PTP this evening, & I'm a bit bushed right now.
Thank you for your patience.
