Cheers - Shows how good i am at maths - i thought it was 3 x £5, or 3 x 200 chips  but i presime its % on the profit

Yes, the formula is:

Total winning cash amount MINUS the buy-in (this gives you the profit)

Then divided by the buy-in. 

And multiplied by 100 to give you a percentage.

e.g. if you won £11 on a £3.30 tournament

It would be £11 - £3.30= £7.70

£7.70 divided by £3.30= 2.33

2.33 x 100= 233%

So the ROI (Return on Investment) would be 233%.

This makes it a level playing field for all buy-ins and bankrolls.

29.19 -5.50 = 23.69

23.69 divided by 5.50 = 4.30727272727 ( Think thats right)

431% is the figure to beat then with 3 hours to go.

It's a decent size, but it's definitely beatable.

You simply have to cash pretty big in a timed tourney before midnight and you'll have the extra value of a main event seat.

Well done - If only i,d known i,d have tried a blind steal as it is an extra 100 chips than myself
