Poker is a great game, loved by many across the world. So here's a nice thread to celebrate poker. We often talk about your favourite football match, best film, holiday or whatever, so...

...what's your own poker highlight?

    I think my poker highlight so far has to be getting a Hendon Mob flag for cashing at SPT Cardiff.

    Doubling up through Thewie on the final table at SPT Leeds.  Mind you i did have Aces ;o)

    Probably finishing RU 2 weeks in a row in the Rebuy Open last year.

    Buying my pc and i was itching,i mean the rush was so intense when i was first downloading a site,the table popped up all the colours,i was here,playing the game i watched on tv that i dreamt of playing.ive always been a cards man down the pub but the pubs were dying i needed my fix and this was it.
    Won over £600 one night on sp final tabled the open and another ft in the orfordable i think,that was pretty special,the best part was i was totally wasted which made it better with the jumping around the living room,oh happy days

    Not far behind is chopping for joint first the first time I ever played live poker; a £25 rebuy tournament at G Casino Blackpool.

    Have a few personal favourite memories, probably in this order:

    1) Biggest win: £880 in VLV semi last year.
    2) Bubbling TSP qualifier. Obviously gutted at the time but gave some confidence.
    3) Winning "League Stars Freeroll" at first attempt for £150, huge confidence boost to a new player.

    There are so many amazing moments but it has to be playing in the 2008 WSOP Main Event, with my Sky Poker gear on, having just won the holiday of a lifetime for £12

    You just can't beat that!

      Winning the 1st MTT i ever entered. £35 buy in. 1st and only prize :- $5k seat to Caribbean Poker Classic in St. Maarten. Plus flights and accomodation.

      Then playing my 1st ever live MTT :- the above tournament, alongside the likes of Chris Moneymaker,Simon Trumper, Robert Varkoni and John Gordano. Tournament started on 08.12.04, which was my 49th birthday. Was last player eliminated on day 1 finishing 51st/157 and having lasted 11 hours, meaning i only missed 1 day of a fantastic weeks holiday lol.

    WOW Pom amazing! You kept that quiet (to me anyway) Mine pales into insignificance but it was my first cash in Survivor for £300. MrBurns4 won it so a TPT 1 and 2!

    My best Poker moments are just feeling I belong somewhere (Sky Poker Community) when I often feel alone. Winning the odd small tourney as also been good!

    Best ever moment probobly be hitting my first straight-flush in a live cash game down my local after a league game. 

    Im sat on the button with KJ Clubs and flops came 9c-10c-Qc. 2 other players to the flop who have bet into me all the way and ive slow-play rinsed them both for everything they had. One turned a full house and the other flopped the nut-flush with A8clubs. I thaught it was blummin xmas.

    I had only baught in for a cheeky £5 to kill time. Walked away three hours later with £110 :D

    Good thanks, I withdrew the whole lot the next day (rounded it up to £1K) and have never needed to deposit since. It was perfectly timed because the walk had cost me quite a lot of money (more than £1K).
