He,s also fav the Irish Open this week- and after Irelands dissapointing Euro campaign he can bring some cheer back to the Irish
Its not going to one of our footy players now anyway - You can still back Joe Hart at up to 200/1 if you like
EDIT : Cab,t see his brother in the betting although he didn,t race in Madrid due to injury - Theyve been 1 and 2 when i,ve seen them before and if you don,t want to wait until December the my tip would be to back him for the triathlon in the Olympics

EDIT _ A good price for a bit of interest in F1 season - He,s almost been written off but you never know in F1

Padraig the main Irish hope for the Open and must be backed at 28/1. Glad I got 40's last week he'll only get shorter and can go well this weekend also and firther stake his claims for Mid July.
No cheers needed to be brought back, youtube the last 6 minutes of Spain game when taking a 4 nil battering. We Irish support our sportsmen through thick and thin (and unfortunately alot more thin!!)
Rory will most likely miss the cut in the Open, and I would not be shocked if he were to miss the cut this weekend back home either.
For a golfer from the North of Ireland he bizarrely shows a real disliking for bad weather and links golf. Weird but there you go! Prefers sunshine, he's certainly got the right idea I guess.

strange but true when he grew up on links couses- I thinkhe,ll really be up for the Irish open tho

True he struggles on links courses when the wind is howling, eg, St Andrews on the Fri afternoon shooting 81. But he still finished 3rd! And he skipped round this course in 61 as a teenager.
My brother lives and works in Dublin and knows someone who used to work in the clubhouse of where he grew up.
They didn,t speak to highly off him and it seems even from an early age he was pretty cocky and came accross as quite arrogant. With all the fame now thats only going to inflate his ego.
Still a great golfer on his day but like you say "hot one week and cold the next"

Not sure what his odds are at the moment, but it's very likely Bradley Wiggins will win this years Tour de France. If he does, I guarantee the whole cycling community will get behind him and make sure he wins the Sports Personality of the year - lump on him now!
New favourite at 5/2 is Andy Murray - even though he,s only half way through his semifinal - 2-1 in sets up and level in 4th set
EDIT - Bradley Wiggins 4/1 anf Jessica Ennis at 3,s - It seems the nearer the olympics get the prices are shortening for the Olympians
;-)
Murray is miserable you're right, but if he wins Wimbledon he will definitely deserve to win and seeing as Greg Rusedski once won it for being a losing US Open finalist (says a lot for our sporting achievements that year!), it would be amazing if Murray didn't win the award.
As for Bradley wiggins - I didn,t even tour de France was on till the other day - Have Sky TV taken it over?
Yet there will be millions watching the Tennis today. Its certainly a difficult year with so many British athletes/sportsman doing well
Alistair Brownlee is now out 150/1 and i still can,t see his brother in the prices although they have just been on news at ten and are number 1 and 2 in the world and were talking of gold and Silver which would be no suprise.
Had little bet on Mo Farah as he 2 chances 2 take a gold and if he beats the kenyans that will be some feat
Sorry to be bearer of bad news, but we are only 3 days on from the emotional speech he gave and he is already 8/1 and will continue to drift .
