Half a tooth paid for tonight. Lost heads up for whole tooth in the £55 9pm.
2nd time in last 3 attempts that I've come 2nd and only got 1 head. Enjoyed the game though.

Went deep in the £22bh and also the £11bh so a decent nights work.

Just watching Day4eire on mini final table now. Hope he hurries up and wins it. Work tomorrow

Great results Paul.  I must admit when I see a diary update at 3am I get slightly concerned.  However, on this occassion you've excelled yourself.

Meant to say this a while ago.
I really like the tweaks to the nightly mtt schedules.
The single rebuy is great and the other £22's are great as well.
I always thought that there was just a bit too much of a gap between £11s and £33+ for many players.
Can play a really good choice right through from 7 alwthough it can soon get expensive :)

I was having a little chat with my Aunt a while ago. I was saying how regardless of being a Tory or Labour supporter, it was dangerous if there was no credible opposition. I argued that there was no one  in the Labour Party who could step up. I saw a comment in The Spectator that made me smile. It was something like "Watching Corbyn makes you pine for Andy Burnham. Pining for Andy Burnham! Think on that"

My Aunt countered that there were credible people. People such as Hilary Benn. To be honest I dismissed that at the time.

    She may have been right.

Sheffield Wednesday away tomorrow. Pity it's on tv. Really like going to Hillsborough. Proper ground.

Love Klopp at Liverpool. I've always had them as a bit of a second team. When I was growing up they were the team. In the 80's teams didn't really believe in playing football but Liverpool did.
Players like Molby, Barnes and Hansen were great to watch.

Feel for you, toothache-worse pain ever for a bloke , and going to dentist seems to be a gets worse before it gets better type of experience, and the extortionate prices is yet another pain.
I remember watching Liverpoot ( on tele) when the constant Toshack Keegan Goal was a pretty much guaranteed weekly statement from the commentator, yep they played some good footy but being a United Supporter I couldn't really applaud them for it , but secretly admired them ;)

Well so much for an early night!

Went over to see Harry tonight in Ashbourne. He's picked up a cold and has a really nasty cough. He perked up a bit when there was a knock on the door to say Santa was on his way on his sleigh. (Ashbourne is thirty years behind the rest of the county)
It brought back memories from when I was a child. Maybe time plays tricks on us but I remember an incredible sight. There was a wonderful sleigh and elves and all sorts going on.
    Anyway
The Ashbourne sleigh and Santa was a bit different to that. Santa on a wooden chair sitting on the back of Alan Browns Builders truck. Bit of tinsel around the van and we were good to go.
Harry seemed to like it so it's all good.
    ......
Played even worse than usual for a couple of hours tonight.
    Ran great :)
Played like someone who had never played before in the 9.30 and quickly took 4 heads. Bust early but slight profit in that.
Then i just played the main and mini.
Had a bit of a run at the jackpot but fell just short.
10th in mini and 8th in main.

Enjoyed it though and £200 profit for the night is nice

There was one other thing last night.

I should feel bad about it now. Do I? Nope
    Was it petty? Yep
Do two wrongs make a right? Nope
Should I have been the bigger man? Yep
Does it still make me happy to think about it? Oh Yeah!

A couple of weeks ago when deep in a mtt I had a big knock to my stack. Left with about 9bigs I shove on the button with KQ.
The big blind goes into the tank. He has a real decision. A second from timing out he reluctantly presses call, with Aces.

Last night he was sb to my bb. He raised 100% of hands when folded to him BvB. Suddenly with him now down to 12 bigs he wants to limp in. I'm a genius, I put him on a hand so I check my option with the 10 4.
I pretty much flop the nuts. He bets small on flop and turn. On the river he shoves.
    SNAP!

    Err actually, no.
I wait until the very last second and press call.

    I win :)

Being the bigger man is an alien concept to you.

    Not a nice day
Just been to the vets and had my cat put to sleep.
He was pretty old. Had him just about all adult life. The lovely people next door would never let him in and used to kick him when they saw him. My girlfriend at the time used to take him inside and feed him. The neighbours saw him come out of our house one day and said we could have him if we wanted to.
He wasn't a kitten and I've had him for 20 years,

    Feel a bit emotional

    That's very sad, Paul.

I recall taking one of my cats to the vets many years ago to be pout to sleep. She was very old, & it had to be done.

No problem, it's only a cat......

I put her in her little catbox, went to the Vets, & took my seat in the waiting room. Not nice, but no problem.

Then this old lady said "she looks lovely, what's wrong with her?"

And I just burst into tears.

    I felt such a fool.

Absolutely no need to feel foolish at all with crying at the vets Tikay, done that myself quite a few times over the years. It's not fun but at least you can remember you looked after your pet and it had a good life.

Sorry to hear of your loss Paul, pretty much the main reason I won't have pets really, selfish I know but I don't think I could handle losing them. When I was young and living at home we had a mongrel dog called 8lacky, he was killed by a neighbour who threw a rock at him, I was devastated.,so I can imagine how you feel, your pet was loved and given a good life, hope you can take a little consolation from that.( wouldn't lat me post the B in his name)

Sorry to hear this Paul, we had our dog put down at the beginning of the year. Also had her all of my adult life, she was only 12, you must have a few years on me ;)

Not an easy thing to do, as another said they really do become an addition to the family.

    Will you get another?

We wanted to but our youngest was only 7 months at the time and thought it best not to have a puppy in the house.

It was the other way round with our eldest, she was 3 when he was born so already trained.

Although a bit disgruntled initially with the attention not all being on her anymore, she soon came round and they were very close. She would keep him in check if he stepped out of line and was terribly protective of him when we had visitors or when out on a walk, almost like a nanny.

She is in a little decretive wooded box looking out over the fields, well I like to think so.

Sorry to hear that bud.  Lost our dog a few years ago and it was the nut worst day ever.  Like Tom, I won't have another pet as losing them is to tough.

I hope you and your family are looking forward to a fun filled Xmas.
