In Response to Re: Ramblings of an 'old' man:
Thanks a lot for kind words chaps. I've never really been very confident about my poker. I have some glaring leaks in cash and tourneys. In the Dyms and this is probably through the sheer volume of games, I feel the most confident. I keep waiting for the bubbie to burst. Whenever I have a losing session, I really start to doubt myself. By now I should be past all that but it's just the way I am. One thing that didn't help much was a forum reg who I always got on well with has really gone for me this month.  Pretty much every game he has made comments about how the downswing will come soon. Plenty of comments about how badly I've played hands. I pointed out that I've played 8000 games and my stats should be fairly realistic at this stage. He replied that until I've played 10000 I shouldn't take much notice of ROI. Thought this was silly but he then claimed I'm delusional if I think i will continue with my results and I just don't understand math. Found it really disappointing and let it get to me a bit. Deregged all my games one night as I was just a bit fed up with it. I asked him to give it a rest and he said he was on a 600 game downswing and suggested a truce. A truce? I thought we were friends and I haven't made any derogatory comments towards him. It's made me quite sad. So, thanks again. It's nice when people are nice.

I know you said you used to get on, but personally when someones being an idiot in the chatbox i just turn the chat off and don,t respond. I did let it get to me for the first time in ages a cpl of weeks back and i let it affect my game. If you stop responding i find generally they will just leave it alone. You learn by your mistakes and i,d like to think nothing said in the chatbox can get to me anymore or affect my mindset

Noticed the change of thread title - Congrats on the good news

    Yippee!

    I have a PS4.
As usual, no skill on my part. Got lucky to double up and then got gifted another double when someone 3bet all in with zero fold equity against me with JQ. I had KK and fortunately there was little drama as I hit set on the flop.

Was pretty much able to fold my way through from there.

I'm actually going to keep it. I think most people have or will sell their's. The way I see it, at 2.00 I didn't have a PS4 and now I do. I wouldn't actually buy one but as a free gift I'll take it. Harry might even think I'm cool in a few years when he sees a Daddy has a nice console. :)

I have a PS3 with a few games. I'm just gonna chuck that in Ebay and happily take anything I get for it.

Quite chuffed with my afternoons work after having about 1.30 sleep in the last 2 days.

    Vwp mate!

Delighted edrich got one too! He was grinding like a maniac to get into it and really deserved it for his efforts. I know others were too but he put in some crazy hours!

Congrats to you both and the rest of the other winners! Little bit jealous lol

Congrats on both achievments!! I've been umming and ahhing about what to do with my PS4, whether to sell it or keep it. On the one hand I barely play on my PS3 as it is with me only really using it for films/netflix etc... but like you put it, at 2.00 I had no PS4 and now I have one, and should just treat it as a free gift! I can live without the £400, and might just do the same and put my PS4 up on ebay and see how much I get for it :)

Well done mate. In a few years it will be the PS11 or something everyone is after though
Not sure what Sky were thinking really. giving away a load of PS4,s . Instead of spending hours playing poker evryone will be on their PS4,s
Not really a gamer myself but Fifa14 is addictive if you like footy games
EDIT: Or if you don,t want to pay £40 for  game you can pick Fifa13 up for about £6 or £7 in second hand shops

Not getting the chance to play much poker at the minute. As a result when I do play, I'm really enjoying it.
Played the main and the mini tonight plus the priority freeroll. Forgotten how I went out in the main. The priority game I just gave away my chips with a silly move.
The mini went better. As Day4eire will testify I ran pretty well for a good part of it, knocking him out along the way when I won a flip. Busted 13th for about £20 in total. Seems a bit rubbish when you think that there we 585 runners. Not to worry though, enjoyed the game. Played a few Dyms as well and made about £40 on the night. I'd take that happily every day.
    ...

Great win for Derby on Minday night. Didn't play exceptionally well but who cares about that. For once we defended well and although I think it will end up with the play offs, you never know.
    ....
Did a nice thing today which is quite unusual for me. Was going to flog my PS3 on Ebay but decided to give it to my cousin instead. She's a single Mum and does a great job. Things are a bit tight for her right now so I thought it would be a nice idea. Thought I better buy a couple of games for the PS4 and so in the end, winning it the freeroll has kind of cost me £90. Not really the plan at the outset. :)

Hey pal good sharing a table with you.
I haven't played many of the minis but it was good fun.
It was a decent table for us as there was still limping at that stage and blinds where there for the taking.
Unluckily for me, you had a hand when I pushed in early pos.
Couldn't stay much longer to rail as early start today.

    Run Good pal

    @stoke
Standard buys from me. Keep saying  I won't buy these 2 anymore but couldn't resist. COD and Fifa. Get Killzone with it so it's a decent start. Managed to get them both off Ebay so it cost me £75 for the two.

Similar for me. I rarely play tourneys on here. Really enjoyed it. Certainly was a turbo. Comfortable stack suddenly becomes all in or fold. Keep saying it but I should play more tourneys on here.

I know the football fan rules state you aren't allowed to be optimistic, but as a neutral I think you should be (and probably are).

QPR have been unconvincing all season, results wise and also performance wise when Ive seen them on TV (lots).

I thought Burnley would fall away, but I think they're stronger than QPR! Harry hasn't got them to pick up at all, and his January signings were unconvincing.

I think 2nd place is there for the taking! (dnt ban me from the thread, but I fancy Forest to get it)

Going to be a great end to the season.

    Red card. Get out!

Seriously though. Not too sure about Forest. That horrific little mans teams tend to fall away towards the latter part of seasons. He'll probably have a rant about the Chairman do his usual thing, try and get himself the sack and a pay off.

I still think QPR have the strongest looking team and squad, despite what Rednapp claims.

Burnley have kept on going. I think if they lose Ings they'd be in trouble. Having said that, the same would be true for us if Martin was out for any length of time.

Going to Burnley beginning of March and gonna meet up  with the Bromleys there. Could be painful. We never get anything at Turf Moor.

You're right, it's building up to be a great end to the season.
Derby v Forest at Wembley would be carnage.(bit like my poker tonight)

Don't worry. Not a pokers rigged rant. :) Just time to switch off for the night.
Sometimes you do feel that you just can't win!

    Dyms
    Played 3 lost 3
    Tourneys
Played 2 lost 1 (soon to lose other one)

Just funny how it goes. Think the Dyms were standard.

First tourney. Set of Aces on flop v set of 2's. All in for chip lead. Quads on turn for my friend. Next hand 3 limps and jam my last 1000 from small with Ace9. Called by j10. Flop the Ace and lose.

Mini rebuy. Keep getting 2nd best hand. Costs lots of chips. Every time I raise with junk I'm 3bet. QQ back to back. Snap folds all round. Next hand 99. Yippee, 2 callers. Flop AQ9. Perfect, one of them will have an Ace. Oh balls, they've folded.
One tabling it like a king. After the big withdrawal a while back. I left myself with a very small amount in my account. Withdrawn back down to that every time I've won. This means that I presently have 0.12 in my account and I promised myself I wouldn't reload this month. Hate to break my promise, wish me luck.

(Know it's stupid to make these withdrawals when I've been running well. I should be playing the 22's when I'm playing well and I'm costing myself money. Just something I do. Silly because I should obviously have a playable bankroll)

    ...

    Hold the press!!
Just 3bet all in from the big with AQ and the button called it off with KQ.

    I did a win

    44/68 now. I have a dream

Well moaned it in a little. Balance now £99.83.

Came 7th in the mini rebuy. Grim exit but had a couple of lucky rivers earlier on and so no complaints.
Just can't quite get it done in the tourneys. Pleased with the deep runs last couple of nights but rightly so the proper money is at the top. Happy though. 4 tourneys, 2 nowhere's and a 7th and 13th.

Just a bit disappointed that I can't do a Gazza. When he has a rant, his next post is normally to tell us he's just won a tourney and won loadsamoney. My thrilling tale is to tell you I had a 7th. Not quite the same wow factor!

Want to play more tourneys. Got the opportunity this month as I'm on paternity leave. No bankroll at moment though. The little one has to come first I guess.

Need to try and sell myself to some daft b.ugger who might fancy a punt.
    Let's see.
Pretty rubbish old guy seeks funds to allow him to play pokes. He seeks an investment to allow him to play some of the higher buy in comps on here. As stated, he's pretty c,rap, however, runs dead good and has a decent sharkscope from a ludicrously small tourney sample size. As demand is likely to be super high, old guy reserves the right to negotiate an awesome deal for himself.

Guess that should do it. Looking forward to the huge amount of PM's coming my way in the morning :)
