Morning Shuv, what a terrible days racing it was for us yesterday! I had a few chances to score big and they all bailed it, leaving me with a bad day. Never mind, onwards and upwards :P.

Thecornishcowboy has been withdrawn, i think that may've saved you some money, they've been running him quite heavily lately. Although he's back over 1m 4f.

Good luck today, let's hope it's better than yesterday :P.

    Had a L15 today on your 4 e/w selections.

I missed the mosconi cup ending last night as it was our chrimbo open pool KO. I failed. I also got shedded. I prob feel worse than you do today with that runny nose you have :)

    GL all.

Gamboooooool & poker day again! :)

Pleasently surprised to see racing on Ch.4! wooooo.

    4 live races in order.....

    Lucky15 as usual!

    Those sivolas always win!

Watching the snooker last week, everytime a player fluked a ball or a safety, they sigh at their shot going wrong, look guilty, and respectfully acknowledge the fluke by holding their hand up to the opponent....

In the Mosconi cup, when they fluke a ball they run round the table with their cue above their head fist-pumping.

I think Barry Hearn is a shrewd guy, he's gonna jump on 9ball and make it big in the UK imo. He's tried things with snooker to make it more exciting and get the crowds in, but it just hasn't worked.

If he can get like a UK 9ball tour going or something, similar to premier league darts, it could get really big really quickly.

    Hope so anyway!

    GL all today.

Come on Doh, Barry Hearn has done wonders for snooker. Every week more or less now-a-days you can watch a snooker tournament on TV. Fair enough the power snooker thing didn't take off, but it wasn't likely too, if you like snooker, you like it because it's snooker, not a rowdy pub game lol. The one frame shoot-out thing has stuck around though, although i think there is just the one of them.

I hope 9 ball doesn't take off in the UK, although there is plenty of events in the UK for 9 ball already, they're just not televised. The less yanks we have jumping up and down on tv, the better lol.

    Gl with your L15.

Yea sorry I wasn't criticising him, just his attempts to 'jazz it up' haven't really worked, due to the 2nd bolded bit above ^^^^^. He's not afraid to try these things though, fair play to him. That's why I reckon he will try something with 9ball soon.

    Nice start Shuvaments!

im sure his matchroom promotions was responsible for the world 9 ball champs that ran in cardiff in the early part of the 2000's and also the world pool masters that has been shown on sky sports over the past years. hes gave it a bash, the mosconi cup is great but when the worlds moved from cardiff it spelt the end of the tourney somewhat as it stopped the years darly peach ( i think that was his name) won it. i cant see him returning to it with any big moves to try n make it huge in the uk.

i like 9 ball and enjoy playing it to a poor standard but dont believe it will ever overtake normal pool in this country

    Football

Having my biggest football bet to date on this Diary today, Mk Dons have won 7 out of 10 at home, Hartlepool have won 0 out of 10 away from home, infact theyve only won once all season.  Mk Dons -1 goal is a mahoosive 11/10, really think this is more of a 4/6 shot was tempted to double them with Unite -1 but just going to stick £150 on Mk Dons -1

    United
    Cardiff
    Bournemouth
    Mk Dons
    Morton
    Dunfermline
    Queen of South

    £50 Banker Acca at 10.72/1

    Stoke
    Dagenham & Redbridge
    Crewe

£20 In with a chance treble at 12.51/1

    Forrest
    Charlton
    Villa

£10 not very likely treble at 206.72/1

Yikes - had my usual high odds L15 (only 10p mind you) and the first one has only gone and come in (only backed it at 25's when it ended up at 40s but never mind). Wish me luck for the other 3 (another 1 will do :))

    Doncaster     11:55 Wiesentraum @ 25/1
    Doncaster     1.35 Simply Ned @ 13/2
    Doncaster     2.10 Zitenka @ 28/1
    Doncaster     3.20 De Boitron @ 22/1
