Horrid day on the horses today, appologie to Alan and 55013 who followed my selections, both NAP and NB came second, Only 1 each way shot got a place, and ith the majority you didnt even get a run for your money they either pulled up or came last.

Finished over £400 down on the horses but £50 on Spurs and my banker treble came in so cut some of those loses out, still a 3 figure losing day tho.

Daily amount laid out = £920
    Daily Returns = £765.38
    Daily profit/loss = -£154.62
    Monthly profit/loss = £685.01
    Total profit/loss = £6169.39

No worries mate. I have lost a great deal more on poker the last couple of days than on the horses! At least with the races you can watch the donkeys and not have to play cards with them :)

Really hoping your NAP nad NB come in today, had them as double....

However fat finger bet means I have out 10x the amount I wanted to, haha, who said touch screens were a good idea.

I rarely contribute but read everyday, hope your winning streak continues.

    Great work on the nap.

You're taking this diary to a new level now, how likely is this to be positive varience/luck rather than skill?

A month, or 2/3 of winning could be just being lucky, but with your volume of bets every day, it's like 7/8/9 months+ worth of betting for most people at least, which suggests it has to be more than luck.

The corrolation between sports betting and poker betting varience fascinates me, I always try and compare the 2.

How do your results since starting the diary compare to before you started it? Have you always been a big winner? (long term)

I watched a feature on ATR w/ Hugh Taylor, he displayed his racing winnings on a line graph, similar to sharkscope does to poker. Obv his sample is huge, and was a constant upswing.

He zoomed in to 1 section of his graph, and he barely had a winner over quite a big sample, it looked horrific, but when u zoom out and look at it in his overall graph, you can barely notice it, as his sample is so huge.

    Interesting stuff :D

chefboy dont lose the faith yet this horse owes us. Have just looked at race and also his form.
Both times he has won it has been over 3miles on good or good to firm ground. Needless to say he hasnt had that ground his last 3 runs. I thought the run over 3 miles where he ran round the back was a training exercise and that the race the other saturday he was up for over a shorter trip and this was going to see him leading from the front and the others wouldnt have his stamina. WRONG Obviously it was a longer term plan as again he pootered along at the back.

At Ffos Las yesterday good/ soft and over 2m4f again you would expect jockey to make pleanty of use of him and make it a test of stamina. He didnt and at times the horse was jumping into the backs of the leading 3. at the bend and coasting I thought here we go but he didnt find much and was allowed to come in in his own time.
Obviosly two runs pootering along meant he wasnt fit enough to win yesterday even if connections wanted to which I very much doubt. At least yesterdays run made him blow a bit more.

Now after that history lesson, what do I think. This horse is being aimed at something. I suggest a 2m6f - 3mile hurdle on good to firm ground perhaps the race he won at Aintree last year. He might go straight for that now or have one more prep run before the target. I suggest backing next two starts if trip and ground correct. If he doesnt win or go very close in one of those, the stable definitely doesnt know what they are doing.

I repeat however it needs 2m6f and good ground at least.
