In Swindon, there is a roundabout called the 'magic roundabout', which is five mini roundabouts, around a sixth, central anti clockwise roundabout, and it is the scariest junction in England according to a traffic survey.

FALSE, it's only the sixth scariest.  The roundabout of course does exist.

Have a great show James, Jen and Stapes.

Live poker is illeagal in Northern Ireland

Answer True there is no casinos in Northern Ireland yet ther is countless amounts of bookmakers.  There is still live poker in bars but underground games after hours.  One of these games was raided by the police about a year ago and all the money seized at christmas.  I reckon the police know about all of these games as there is an ex cheif police constable that plays in 1 of the games but shut the games down when it suits them to do so.

OK how about this. One of these is false, the other three true.

It is illegal to beat or shake any carpet or rug in any street. However, you may shake or beat a door mat provided that it is before 8am   (TRUE - metropolitan police act 1839 s60)

It is illegal to carry a plank along a pavement (TRUE)

It is illegal to stand within 100 yards of the reigning monarch without wearing socks (FALSE)

It is illegal to handle a salmon under suspicious circumstances (TRUE)

In Response to Re: Sunday's live show - with James, Jen & Stapes (***OFFICIAL THREAD***) : Just so you know... To be considered for the competition, you need to present a statement, rather than a question.   Joe will then guess whether it's true or false. To make my life easier, please provide me with the answer(s)!

During the Napoleonic wars a French ship was wrecked off the coast of Hartlepool. The only survivor was the ship's monkey dressed as a sailor for the crew's amusement. The locals found the monkey and arranged an impromptu trial.

The locals had no idea what Frenchman looked like, and as the monkey could not answer any of their questions, they concluded it was a French sailor and it was sentenced to death and hung.

    Answer: TRUE
