even 3 weeks seems long enough for people to forget the type I was. the hit/miss types and nitty types seem to have gone down in numbers it's calling station and even the odd unknown aggro type that seem to be about
normally it's the flush that bets the turn

A might be possible but in the summer these hand seem to be folding the flop
today has been a poor day with 3 sessions overall. the first one which was where most them hands above were from had the worst with losses of £3.42 £5.07 £4.32 £1.88 and even a loss of £14.10 almost every one was from nl4 £5.07 the exception. the only winning table that session was 8.45 profit from an action table
in the second session I tried a bit of Omaha hi lo for a change and entered 1 hi low MTT and 2 nl4 cash tables they were quite relaxing. I didn't succeed in the MTT but I did ok on the cash tables a loss of 55p was on one but it was erased with a winning of £2.73 on a second table.
my final session was not as bad and did finish out as a winning session with table outcomes £4.13, £2.24 £1.70 -£1.07 and -£1.15.
the overall finish was a loss of -17.81 BR is currently £95.37
it was clear really today was not my day just by looking at this hand
my first session today was an up down really I had 5 cash table (4nl4+1 act) 1 had a terrible period and got a loss of £7.08 the act also was not as I hoped and I lost £2.07 on that table. thankfully I did recover it from profits of £5.51 £4.06 and £1.50 and so the session finished at +£1.92.
things are going from bad to worse with each and every session not working out well.
I had two other sessions this evening and they were both disasters. the first one got one very good table but 3 table were poor the out comes from all 5 were +£0.67, +£12.16, -£5.12, -£8.14 and -£2.49
then I had a break before the last happy hour and it proved to be the worst session of all with +£2.31, +£2.33, -£6.60, -£8.00, -£6.67 and -£4 the BR is currently £73.74
Maybe for one session play with 3 or 4 tables maximum.
Play really tight for the first 15-20 minutes until you know how the table is playing. Then after you have the table sussed, play the way which is most suitable for the table.
Pick out your spots on the table, and with value hands go for maximum value.
due to the football and having a friend over today, I didn't have time for very much poker.
I did manage to get in one session before MOTD and it managed a low but profitable period. rather than the 5 tables I usually have, I decided to just play on 3 and would the hand histories below that way I could get more time to review how my opponents were playing.
the table outcomes finished as +£1.44, +£1.20 +£1.10 and I did get a loss of -£0.11 but I didn't spend long on that table as it was not easy to get a good style of play to work.
today I can blame only myself for the terrible day I did have some bad luck but it was mostly a case of me forgetting that these tables are passive tables so expect decent hands to be revealed.
the overally winning tables total was £27.83 while the loosing total was £43.30 6 tables managed winning over a £1 compared with 9 tables loosing over £2 each. the tables themselves were losses of -£8 -£2.63 -£2.04 -£7.87 -£4 -£3.43 -£2.44 -£8.82 and -£3.66 all of which were from nl4 or act
the only big winning tables were £2.63 £1.31 £7.53 £3.50 £1.44 and £9.13 again from nl4 or act the rest of the winning tables were very small.
I did do 2 cheap MTT sats and went out in the with just bad luck my overall loss was -26.97 and my BR is now a mere £50.92.
all I can really say but is I deserve the bad form when I do things like this
i should have did the jam on the turn here because i was very unlikely behind him on the turn and the river should have been a clear fold

if this hand doesn't convince me enough to consider thinking when i see a bet i don't know what will.
i think i might have been taking it the wrong way before.
what i was thinking was the main reason behind playing tight was the risk of a calling station but what i am now thinking is that it's probably got a lot to do with villians being just too passive so i will never know what the villain has got as he is just going to call my bet also flush and straight draws i am now thinking will never win more money than they loose because again when i miss i will be left guessing what he has and a bluff will be tough and if they do fold they normally will do it as soon as the flush or straight hit or the very first bet i make.
i guess calling stations now are villians who play like a hit miss and if they hit they just call it down.
Really good to see you are being aggressive, maybe a bit 2 much so in a couple of the above hands in my opinion, hands 1 and 3.
On the flop in hand 1, we have the flush draw, not even the nut flush draw, the 4 nut flush draw. When they raise, i would just be calling it.
On the turn the way they have played it (it's never a flush) it's either a set or 2 pair, i would just ship the turn after the re-raise. In the end unlucky.
Hand 3 i prefer to just check the turn. Betting pot is to much in my opinion, a 60% bet would have achieved the same goal, as in if they were going to fold (to your bluff) then 60% would have done the job just as good as a pot sized bet.
Hand 2's a tough one, just UL there junk smacked the flop, when you see this aggression at 4nl its normally atleast 2 pair.
my first session today has been better than recent days not in a way as such where I am winning lotsbut more a case I am now seeming to know when to fold.
I spent 2 hours overall on 5 tables and they came to a winnings of £5.30 made up of +£8.03 +£0.03 +£0.43 - £0.79 and -£2.40
the big hands were £3.38 sorry it was you who had suffered it Larson I guess what you could have believed was I had you on a flush draw maybe the clinic might help UL but mate. £2.57 £1.43 £1.24 £1.01
when I have suffered a week of nothing but the tiniest wins and massive losses, never would I expect to have achieved what I did today.
the first session got me off to a very good start but things didn't finish their.
my second session got table outcomes of £11.72 £7.41 £5.82 -£0.30 I only suffered one bad table which got a loss of -£2.51 but overall that session finished with a winnings total of £22.14
my final session this evening didn't go quite as well but the main thing is it still finished as profit the table outcomes were £3.51 £5.23 £5.04 £0.49 I suffered 3 losses including 1 fairly big one the losses were -£0.52 -£6.17 and -£2.48 so that session finished as a winnings of £5.10
I still was making mistakes with some monster hands
the minute he raised I should have just jammed if he has got a set fine but I wasted my chance overall to win big.

having did a pot size bet I decided myself to just make the call thinking I am in position and if I raised the flop and he shoves I will be left drawing to the straight and who's to say he hasn't got a QQ himself. when he checked the turn I got a bit suspicious thinking he is either going to check raise or was holding KK-QQ so I decided to check back had it been a spade I might have bet the turn but I took the free card instead thinking a straight like mine could be hard to spot. then when the 3rd diamond came and he checked I did a bluff which did work but he responded calling me a donk chaser. but the thing I fealt was he did a full pot bet on the flop so any raise and i'm going to be jammed then on the turn the A might have allowed me to semi bluff but I decided to take the free card insteadas he might still call the turn with his premium if he had it.
what a awful day it has been for me tonight all I can say now is playing an MTT and cash table at the same time is just no good. also playing on a nl4p and an MS table at the same is also not good especially during the TV hour.
I tried the main and mini plus 2 DYM and only won 10 for a cost of £26.50 I did try from a few sats £0.60p x 5
the cash tables well they were ok at NL 4 but not so good on the MS with a total MS table loss of -£34.79 the nl4 won me £6.35 these are just rough guesses the BR is £40.75
the biggest part of the problem I think came because nl4 is the difference it has with folds and aggression the MS tables were quite passive still but they were also tight preflop so what I couldn't do was just build my chip stack up from 3betting followed by cbets which would get folds which is how things usually go on nl4
the bet I did on this river was a way in which I thought well in case he raised the flop with Qx he will then I can still perhaps get value as I would be thinging he will most likely jam with a 3rd 10 but to my surprise he folds

but the big difference is the risks that villians take post flop. here I should have just raised the flop because unlike the nl4 here villians will not let the 3rd heart scared them too much especially if they hold the Ah in their hand
passive villians were dominating me today so it cost me dear and I think it's the final straw.
I deposited £30 today and have posted some hand into the clinic asking for advice on bet sizing post flop that will punish them who think they can trap me.
I tried 2 sats today for the main event but didn’t have any success in them
I did do 2 5.50 DYM and won both although the second one was played in bit of an odd way where I w
After the bad time I had on Tuesday and Wednesday on the cash I decided to just play 4 tables rather than the 5 or 6 I play, I was thinking things were returning to winning ways. The first session was very quick so with outcomes 62p 18p and -12p X2
In my second session their was one table that stood out because as well as the usual limpers it also had a loose agro and so I got a decent win of £7.54 as for the other tables they got me £0.15 £0.14 -£0.77 and -£1.83
Then I had a hour and a half break before my last session and that was when it went wrong with table losses of £0.56 £2.72 £0.89 £3.23 and £6.02 the only winning was £1.82
So the overall loss today was -7.83 and the BR is £29.80
sometimes mind I don't know why I do it. truthfully I think that I have taking things a step too far and making calls a bit too often because their have been a few hands in the last two weeks that have had this sort of mistake.
this hand when he bet then shipped the turn it looked very likely that he had a set it was the first thing that came into my head and was saying to myself fold.

it might seem like i was being results orientated but really it was the way he played the hand.
also i think i have been too aggro with fluss and straight draws causing the poor hands to fold leaving me to need to hit.

what i was thinking was the main reason behind playing tight was the risk of a calling station but what i am now thinking is that it's probably got a lot to do with villians being just too passive so i will never know what the villain has got as he is just going to call my bet also flush and straight draws i am now thinking will never win more money than they loose because again when i miss i will be left guessing what he has and a bluff will be tough and if they do fold they normally will do it as soon as the flush or straight hit or the very first bet i make.
i guess calling stations now are villians who play like a hit miss and if they hit they just call it down.
Nice hand, the only person to stack me!
I spent 2 hours overall on 5 tables and they came to a winnings of £5.30 made up of +£8.03 +£0.03 +£0.43 - £0.79 and -£2.40

when I have suffered a week of nothing but the tiniest wins and massive losses, never would I expect to have achieved what I did today.
the first session got me off to a very good start but things didn't finish their.
my second session got table outcomes of £11.72 £7.41 £5.82 -£0.30 I only suffered one bad table which got a loss of -£2.51 but overall that session finished with a winnings total of £22.14
my final session this evening didn't go quite as well but the main thing is it still finished as profit the table outcomes were £3.51 £5.23 £5.04 £0.49 I suffered 3 losses including 1 fairly big one the losses were -£0.52 -£6.17 and -£2.48 so that session finished as a winnings of £5.10
I still was making mistakes with some monster hands
the minute he raised I should have just jammed if he has got a set fine but I wasted my chance overall to win big.

what a awful day it has been for me tonight all I can say now is playing an MTT and cash table at the same time is just no good. also playing on a nl4p and an MS table at the same is also not good especially during the TV hour.
I tried the main and mini plus 2 DYM and only won 10 for a cost of £26.50 I did try from a few sats £0.60p x 5
the cash tables well they were ok at NL 4 but not so good on the MS with a total MS table loss of -£34.79 the nl4 won me £6.35
these are just rough guesses the BR is £40.75
the biggest part of the problem I think came because nl4 is the difference it has with folds and aggression
the MS tables were quite passive still but they were also tight preflop so what I couldn't do was just build my chip stack up from 3betting followed by cbets which would get folds which is how things usually go on nl4
the bet I did on this river was a way in which I thought well in case he raised the flop with Qx he will then I can still perhaps get value as I would be thinging he will most likely jam with a 3rd 10 but to my surprise he folds
here I should have just raised the flop because unlike the nl4 here villians will not let the 3rd heart scared them too much especially if they hold the Ah in their hand
I deposited £30 today and have posted some hand into the clinic asking for advice on bet sizing post flop that will punish them who think they can trap me.
my BR is £37.01
Ever tried playing 1 or 2 less tables?
Sometimes i find that if i drop a couple of tables it's easier to guage what is happening.
Like when some1 min bets (you think there weak) you raise and they shove. Or the people that min raise, and are weak and will fold to aggression.
Playing less tables it's easier to pick up on these things.
You posted a hand in the clinic, you had aces and bet 26 into 64p, they hut there gut shot on the turn. With your really strong hands just bet big.
truthfully I think that I have taking things a step too far and making calls a bit too often because their have been a few hands in the last two weeks that have had this sort of mistake.
this hand when he bet then shipped the turn it looked very likely that he had a set it was the first thing that came into my head and was saying to myself fold.
also i think i have been too aggro with fluss and straight draws causing the poor hands to fold leaving me to need to hit.
