So far Rory is telling it like it is,that the others are pledging promises that they can't deliver on(yet again).

    That was a Brexit question.

The truth is that none of them have a workable solution.

Rory Stewart, whose truthfulness has been a breath of fresh air, was not very impressive last night, and his Brexit solution of a Citizens Assembly, would take years and has little support.

Boris keeps getting caught up in his lies, and poor taste comments. It would seem impossible to think that he can continue to be supported by ERG members who are ardent no deal supporters, and those that are fans of a soft Brexit. He has been able to do so, while he has been in hiding, less possible while he is forced to debate. His plan of leaving on 31st October, deal or no deal, seemed to bite the dust last night. His tax breaks for high earners show that he hasn't quite understood the hardship that has been caused by the Governments austerity measures. Nor does he seem concerned by the inequalities that these measures have created, which were probably responsible for the Brexit vote.

How do we end up with a racist, compulsive liar, as odds on favourite?

Matt Hancock has lost all credibility after pulling out, and supporting Boris. While in the race he famously commented F... Boris, in relation to the F... Business comment that Boris made. So he has gone from F... Boris, to becoming his biggest fan in a couple of days.

Cynics might think that this has been caused by the promise of a good cabinet job, rather than a sudden change of heart.

Those that have been promised good jobs in return for their support, will not find out that these jobs will not be forthcoming until its all over.

Sajid Javid wants to be a hard man who used to punch bullies first, I don't think its working.

Michael Gove, and Jeremy Hunt, seem quite sensible, but hardly outstanding candidates.

All in all this debate just showed that none of them can provide answers to the questions that are important to the general public.

Neither do any of them have a coherent plan for Brexit which they are able to explain in any detail.

Without this morphing into another Brexit thread,I can't see how, whoever the next P.M is,is going to solve the problems which ended May's reign as P.M.
    Same Problems,Different Solutions,Same Results.

Correct, they all lied about their plans for a solution.

Boris should come unstuck in the debates.

    Nothing has changed.

Probably more lies now, than in the referendum campaign.

Which is why Rory's honesty, whilst a little naive, was great to hear...there is no other deal.....so as much as I fear a no deal...unless we threaten the EU with it, they won't back down...

    Disaffected remainer of Zummerzet

It is really disappointing when you consider our choice of political leaders. It would seem that in order for Boris to lose, he will have to screw it up himself.
So our choice in the next election may well include, Boris, Farage, and Corbyn.
I will be voting for the Lib Dems.
As for Brexit, they are all just pathetic.

We didn't have to wait very long ,for him to make a start.

'Get off me. Get out of my flat': Blistering words Carrie Symonds yelled at Boris Johnson during midnight row which brought police to their door when neighbours heard screaming and favourite to become PM shouting 'get off my f***ing laptop'

Two divorces, a lovechild and a mistress scorned: Boris Johnson's complicated love-life takes centre stage (again)

The philandering MP for Uxbridge embarked on at least five extra-marital flings and got at least two of his mistresses pregnant. When his affair with Carrie Symonds came to light last September, he and his long-suffering wife Marina Wheeler (centre) filed for divorce. Their daughter Lara Johnson, 26, who is only five years younger than Miss Symonds, reportedly branded her father a 'selfish b******'. Mr Johnson married Oxford University sweetheart Allegra Mostyn-Owen (top right) in 1987, but they divorced in 1993 after he cheated on her with Marina. In 2004, his four-year affair with journalist and society author Petronella Wyatt (bottom right), the daughter of Labour grandee Lord Wyatt, became public. He later fathered a child with art consultant Helen Macintyre (left).
