Good day to you all, & welcome to the SPT Brighton Live Update.

    Brighton is one of the favourite stops on the Sky Poker Tour, it's not everywhere that has a Regency Palace, an I-Sore, and a selection of Victorian Piers, at least 1 of which is still standing.

    Our Venue for the weekend is the Rendezous Casino, which sits about a mile east of the Town Centre, & actually forms part of the Brighton Marina development which was built by Taylor Woodrow some 50 years ago.


    The Casino is the first of those curly roof buildings right at the top of the photo;

    Here's the timetable for the weekend;

    Day 1A Flight
    Friday 9th August
    Play commences at 16:00
    Late registration open until 22:00
    Play concludes at 01:00am


    Day 1B Flight
    Saturday 10th August
    Play commences at 14:00
    Late registration open until 20:00
    Play concludes at 23:00pm


    Day 2 - Final Day
    Sunday 11th August
    Play commences at 13:00
    Late registration closed
    Play estimated to conclude around 01:00am

    Players are allowed one re-entry per flight, and can play both flights. Players have the option to take their biggest stack through to Day 2.

    Starting stack: 25,000
    Blinds: 40 minutes

    Our Live Update will take it's usual form, just bants & craic Friday & Saturday, then a full interactive Live Update on Sunday, when things gets serious.


    We can rely on Sam, James or Ambo to do the Live Update on Sunday if I make it through to the Final, as expected.

    Remember this hand well, I bet the river really small for value and the lady who had the 9's shoved something like 8x pot, talk about running like @MattBates.

    It's 10:45...By now

    @MISTY4ME would ahve had 4 breakfasts
    @HANSON 6 **** and possibly a couple of JD & cokes
    @IrishRose would have stood up from the table and put her coat on 3 times...even though play hasn't started...

    And I'm a little bit envious of you all being there to have a great time with online friends, old and new !!

    Struggling with wifi on my laptop here, says "No internet, open" but it won't connect. My I-pad is working fine, but I can't update much or load photos on it.
