Sure some here would have heard of this guy.

Here he is after finishing his 1st Badwater Ultramarathon in 2006.He finished top 5 vs elite ultra marathoners. An amazing test of will and determination.

This year it kicks off on 7th July, after 50 miles into the race I doubt social distancing will be much of an issue ;)

    Stay on the white line......

Guardian article on the race itself:-

    Saturday 27th June results

20:15 Mega Stack late registered this and was slightly card dead missed

21:15 £2 Deep stack had a good stack heading into the business end of the tourney. 5/15 left or so when I lost a flip with dead money in the middle. That did the damage before I shoved 22 and ran into 33.

22:05 200 5.5 TFO finished 6/40 and squeezed into the money. Never had a stack, discipline and patience got the cash when in the past I would have shoved on at least two separate occasions in previous MTTs.

22:15 £1000 GTD Result of the night in the Bounty Hunter finishing 2/212 and profit of £118.95 with 11 heads. Another bridesmaid prize. That's 4 in a row when HU on my last count.

23:30 £11 TBH standard tourney stuff no cash/no heads

    23:45 £5 TBH unremarkable no cash/no heads

00:00 Midnight Express 6 from money with no heads 90 runners last night and £1800 in the prize pool.

00:30 -3.5 £11 About 4 from the money and 2 heads so small loss in this one.

Sunday Main later so looking forward to that. Min cash will do ;)

Sky roll :- £650 with change

    roll:- £619. 98

Nothing doing in the Sunday Main and a rough starting table. A few 4bets going in and had to stick in a 5bet preflop about an hour and a bit into he tourney with 99 which felt a bit disgusting for 85bbs vs aggro pre-flopper. Luckily the 99 got through.

Exit hand was standardish from memory.

Got a head in the Mega Stack and had a decent stack for some of the tournament. No place though.

Those were the highlights from last night. Enjoyed the bigger stuff even though it got a bit uncomfortable at times.

    Onto the next ones 😊

GL to the end of month grinders!

    Great episode this one.

A guy who grew up near the team stadium. Loads of stories about managers, players and teams.

    Monday 29th June

Was sisters birthday yesterday and being about 90 miles away I have not seen her since about Jan/February time. She has popped into mums with home baking and the like over the 'world events' while the Brother-in-Law drops his kids back off at their mums.

Will get a card posted off today and hope she appreciates 'gift'. :)

Mum herself has been on her own with a certain lodger :hushed: since 2011 and while most of her relatives are about 30 miles away so I'm sure she is feeling this isolation however mum being mum she wouldn't say anyway.

Met her today (Monday) and headed to the shops for a wander about, had not seen her outwith 10 mins visits in over 2 weeks and she, being a little more cautious was armed with a surgical mask on the train. Had politely declined the offer of wearing one prior and prefer the social distancing option while on trains. Seems more people are wearing them here this week which isn't a bad thing.

Hand reviews and zoom chat yesterday too with a few of the guys from the forum and was tired after StayorGo's thoughts and analysis. So knackered infact I had to rest in a darkened room for a while....... I joke of course.

In all seriousness, would highly recommend @StayOrGo 's zoom meeting/poker chat if you have not attended yet. His breakdown on hands is very impressive and I am positive any player on the forum would take at least something from the discussion.

The offer of this for free is quite something and I wish to thank Graham and Douglas for getting this together. Thank you guys!

It's good to put faces to forum posters too and to hear the thought process behind each play. Time very well spent.

On the virtual poker felt the schedule itself was light.

    Schedule was:-

    18:15 £2 rebuy
    18:30 £1500 guaranteed
    19:18 Omaha Hi Lo
    19:45 Omaha

    18:15 £2 rebuy

Shoved ATo with 10bb utg running into Kings in the BB, decided not to take the rebuy option on this occasion.

    18:30 £1500 Guaranteed

Got a stack early and about 5/6 heads with no place. Heads were worth £9.40 so a little profit there.

    19:18 Omaha Hi lo

4th place and a couple of heads. Profitable to the tune of £15 or so.

    19:45 Omaha

Was too aggressive in this one and not hitting so lost half my stack fairly early on. Never got going.

    Roll:- £634.52

Hope June was good to fellow diarists.

Happy with how June went from a personal POV.

    Life - content

Been in a good mood lately and made a decision on come off what my GP has described as "dual-action" medication. Been nice knowing you

Had discussions with guys from the group and speaking to one member in particular who is on a similar path about it. With plenty of humming and hawing, a bit of back and forth, with tapering it's done.

    Poker - happy

MTT Challenge has gone very well. Enjoyable and running well. Can't ask for much more.

The account shows a £510 profit in the month of June. This far exceeded all expectations from the money side of things. Was looking at £300 clear if possible and even if I were to double up from £150 to £300 that would have been satisfying enough as the hours where not put in on June.

    Family and friends

Things opening up here so will be seeing the little one a bit more with 2 overnights and 48 hours per week with him and some school work to do.

We are playing Fallout 4 on the PS4 at the moment and Rudy loves the story so getting questioned a lot lately on that. Having to bluff some of it as have just started playing it again as hadn't played since October.

Doctors have advised he may have asthma as well. Had noticed he had been struggling a bit more over the past few weeks when playing sports/walking. Initially thought it was bad hay-fever and the humidity he was struggling with. See what doctor says and take it from there.

Mum and Sis are doing well. Sis is looking to move when this part of LockDown is over and seems like it will be done before end of year. Mum is mum, chilling and watching films with walks "up the town"

Had a bit of bad news from one of my work friends last night who advised she and 6 others who I started my previous job with had been let go yesterday.

I guess given the way things are and being the retail sector it's not a total shock however still a big blow regardless. Had arranged to speak to her this morning and from the messages last night she is a bit raw though practical about it.

    Quick goals for July

    1. 160 hours of table time
    2. Off table work
    3. Small projects
    4. Start reading books
    5. Work out
    6. Healthy eating
    7. Start offline daily diary again

    Sky roll £660

Very good tune this one. Bit of a classic!

Results wise, a bit of a frustrating start however with how June went it's more than manageable. Down £20ish or so.

Watching a bit of live Attwood now on the Lady Ghislaine story :)

    Last diary entry.

Was initially going to be a month and started off a 2nd month however have been quite caught up in life things and had expected July to be busier than June.

The main purpose of the diary was to give myself a kick up the bum in life and the poker was stagnating also. I am maybe more of an 'offline' diarist and find the motion of a pen quite chilling. Bit like paperback vs kindle books ;)

Thank you all for viewing the diary and I really wasn't sure how it was going to look or turn out. Had thought about it for a wee while and being in semi-LD it seemed a good time to start doing one.

Thanks for reading and can now kick back and get reading/catching up on other poker diaries now.

Will start working my way through them, choosing and sticking with one is the next decision..... might be greedy and read and follow 2/3 at a time.

Good luck at the tables everyone and particularly to the diarists and streamers. Hopefully we will have casinos that will be re-opening soon with tournaments and cash games to go back to after this is over.
