    Morning all.

Unfortunately, a lot of the posts you made last night disappeared into the Modeator's Naughty Room. I've no idea why that was, but I've "released" them all this morning.

    Hi @cardu

Player's Sky Poker aliases......that's quite a difficult & grey area for us. Technically, we are strictly forbidden from revealing players real names against their aliases. In some case, "MattBates" for example, we know he does not mind, & his Alias & real name are the same anyway.

However, matching aliases to real names is a bit of a regulatory minefield. Strictly speaking, we need their written permission before we reveal.

So it's all a bit awkward, & one of those areas where players who have no idea how strict the Regulatory & Compliance side is these days (I am not referring to you, by the way) tend to mock Sky Poker, as we saw in the recent Twitch kerfuffle. Unforuch, they are blissfully unaware of the regulatory obstacles an online gaming site faces these days.

Anyway, I'm delighted you had a good time at SPT Brighton. Was a great weekend, though we did have one or two awkward "incidents" that had to be managed.

What a great weekend, meeting old friends and making new ones. Well done to the regs who cashed and to the Sky team as always, professional and friendly. Just got home and need an afternoon lay down...Note to self, dont try to drink like the young guns, they are different gravy around the lager.

Yes, note to self.....don't let the other half drink copious amounts of Vodka and orange and then sit on the cash tables :)

Fantastic weekend (as usual, SPT's always are). Great to meet some new poker drinking folk .... especially when one of them own's an island and is planning on having the next SPT there ;)

See you at the tables guys.

Thanks all for the SPT. I will not let a lost wallet ruin the great social experience I had at this SPT.
I've managed to get new train tickets and on my way home.

I do hope to do glasgow

    Hi all!

Second sky poker tour i've attended; but first one i've got really involved with everyone in and can honestly say it was great crack! There is some really top guys who play on the site and really good to put a face to the names; so cheers for making myself and my mrs feel welcome over the weekend. Played in good spirit for the most part, and more than done so on the drinking side of things too!

The one thing I would feedback is the general structure of the tournament and I feel this was quite a common feeling throughout the room. I appreciate allowing for more play is a great thing for recs on day 1, but also I don't thing many recs after playing for between 2-3 days appreciate being eaten by 50% blind increases; especially as it gets down to the "important stages". A 50-60bb stack at 2k/4k was sub 20bb in less than 2 hours. Also the antes were a bit a miss, the antes of 600/800 slow the game down, where a button ante would speed things up, allowing for more hands and, more importantly, play. I understand nothing can be done for glasgow; and manchester will have a different structure, but would like to see the changes for next year for sure as i think most would!

But aside from that as an event and the people that were there, can't stress enough great laugh and really looking forward to Manchester.

    I am back home now.
Thank you very much both dark angel and irishrose for helping me out during the stress.

Social events don't get much better than these SPTS.

Craig, I am so relieved that you got back safe and sound, can rest a bit easier now. Was nice to see you again, just so glad we could help out a fellow player. We would do it for everyone who has problems. Good luck at the tables everyone.

So at 0109 on Monday morning, that's it from the Sky Poker Team here of James, Mark & myself.

Been a vey successful event imo, let's hope there are many more.

Next stop is Glasgow, October 12th - 14th.

    Night all.

What a fantastic read this thread is TiKay. So a great many thanks go out to you, James, Mark and everyone at Sky Poker, for putting on, and covering this SPT event in Brighton so well. Also well done to TiKays TA and runner.... Jac, Jacko, Paul, now known as the self-penned 'Ledge' for his update work too.

It has been a wonderful tournament once again...... and sincerely, thank You to everyone who sent me 'Good Luck' wishes too. It meant so much, and obviously helped me enormously in managing to 'ladder up' to 18th..... and along with Roseeeee's 'Lucky Leprachauns', Donna's 'Angel Dust', ..... and a little bit of 'Misty Magic' (not that I'm superstitious!!), but I was truly just happy when I somehow managed to scrape into the cash to pay for the trip, and cover the 'couple of pints' I've drunk, and most importantly, be able to buy my lovely better half a nice little prezzy, to prove to her that sometimes Poker can certainly be a worthwhile hobby :)

As you can see from the time I'm posting...... I'm still on a high :p

I got back to Cornwall at 2.30am (great journey home with no traffic at all, tho' thick fog for the last 40 miles wasn't much fun), but having read through the whole thread, I just want to reiterate what a FANTASTIC job you and Sky Poker do in putting on, and covering these events, and also please pass on my thanks to everyone at Rendezvous Casino too, they really look after you so well.

Everyone who plays on SKY POKER should really make the effort to either satellite into, or if you can afford to, buy in and play at least one of these SPT events. I promise you all, you won't be sorry. It's just brilliant to meet up with people you play alongside online, and most importantly, so much fun too.

Just an amazing experience once more...... many many thanks and hopefully, long may the SP(S)T events continue.

    ......OMG it's coming light !

Best wishes and Good luck to all at the tables
+1 & very well played Jez...glad you got home safe & sound...see ya soon mate

    Brilliantly run as per usual.

I have played on a few different poker tours, and SPTs are just way better. In part, this is because of the slow structure at the beginning, which means everyone gets to play a decent amount of poker. It is also because Sky players are just generally nicer than those on other sites.

It is true to say that the Day 2 structure was a little steep-it would be better to raise the blinds a bit more in levels 9-12 on Day 1. Also agree re antes of 600 etc. But these are just minor tweaks to an excellent tournament.

Great that Eamonn ran deep-he must be getting closer to getting that 2nd butler :)
Even more pleased for Jez (Misty)-hope you get the win next time.
Also good to see that Jac has found something he is good at at poker :)

Good to know that Tikay has confirmed that he is something of a chopper :)

Hope to see as many of you as poss at either Glasgow or Manchester. If you are going to play 1 live MTT this year, make it 1 of those.
